I think that's a compliment. I think what your friend's saying even though na ladder frame, the trailB has car-like suspension.
Unless, he is refering to a problem with your Carnival's suspension? I've riden a Carnival and it really has a soft riding suspension that is biased for comfort.
I say that TrailB is more comfortable to ride than our ex Pajero Fieldmaster (2.8 A/T), as well as engine thrust during critical moment.
TrailB & Monty are almost the same sa comfort, except TrailB has more leg room, TrailB engine is quieter whether hi or low gear plus amoy bago pa he he he na wala na sa Monty amoy air fresher na lang.

The 2012 STAR Picks

MANILA, Philippines - Welcome to the 2012 edition of the annual STAR Picks.
We’ve been doing this annual exercise for quite a few years now so we feel it’s time to depart a bit from tradition.
We’ve usually been choosing the personal picks of each STAR Motoring writer regardless of price or vehicle category.
This year, to make STAR Picks even more relevant to the car buyer, we’ve zeroed in on the different categories, paying close attention to pricing—particularly with models that have vastly differing retail prices within the same category (i.e. the 7-seat midsize SUV category). We’ve also segregated the luxury cars from the mass market models to eliminate unfair comparisons.
With these changes, we’ve come up with 10 categories for the mass market models and five for the luxury brands. The STAR Motoring writers who gave their picks are Kap Maceda Aguila, Ulysses Ang, James Deakin, Manny N. de los Reyes, Andy Leuterio, and Angel Rivero.
Here now are the 2012 STAR Picks, category by category.
Business ( Article MRec ), pagematch: 1, sectionmatch: 1
Mini Hatchback/Supermini—Mitsubishi Mirage
It was unanimous. All six STAR Motoring writers chose the all-new Mitsubishi Mirage. It won by virtue of its impressive feature set, handsome styling, surprisingly spacious interior, high fuel economy, and last but certainly not least, its affordable price (it start at P498,000).
Hatchback/Subcompact—Honda Jazz
Honda’s evergreen Jazz emerged the winner but not without a fight. Kap, Uly and Andy were unanimous in choosing it while Manny picked the Suzuki SX4 Crossover, James gave the nod to the Fiesta, and Angel chose the new Kia Rio.
Compact Sedan—Ford Focus
We have a near-unanimous pick here. No less than five STAR writers went for the all-new Ford Focus. Its combination of European styling and handling, responsive yet fuel-efficient drivetrain, and cutting-edge features like its look-ma-no-hands Ford Park Assist sealed the deal. Andy picked the stylish and highly capable Hyundai Elantra.
Midsize Sedan—Subaru Legacy and Toyota Camry (tie)
Uly and Manny went for turbo power and all-wheel-drive in the Subaru Legacy while Kap and Angel voted for the new Toyota Camry. James opted for the very new Kia Optima while Andy chose the Hyundai Sonata.
Compact SUV/Crossover—Kia Sportage and Subaru XV
Another double-tie here: Manny and Andy were smitten by the Sportage’s Euro-inspired look, high level of build quality, and available CRDi diesel engine while Uly and James gave the nod to the new Subaru XV. Angel was the only solo voter, picking the new Mazda CX-5.
Midsize SUV under P2 million— Chevrolet Trailblazer
Three STAR writers (Kap, James and Angel) went for the all-new Trailblazer while two (Manny and Andy) chose the new Hyundai Santa Fe. Uly picked the tried-and-true Toyota Fortuner.
Midsize/Large SUV over P2 million— Ford Explorer
Another near-unanimous choice here. All but one (Manny) picked the handsome and loaded-with-features Explorer. Manny also liked the Ford but was swayed by the ultra-smooth ride and luxurious interior of the Mazda CX-9.
Pickup—Ford Ranger
A unanimous choice here. All six STAR Motoring scribes picked the all-new truck from the Blue Oval brand. The torquey, fuel-efficient and highly refined CRDi engine, 6-speed transmissions, high build quality/overall refinement, and ruggedly handsome styling made the Ranger an easy choice.
Minivan/MPV/Van—Chevrolet Orlando and Honda Odyssey (tie)
The price spread was surprisingly big for this segment. (Perhaps we should split it also next year.) Kap and Uly went for the new P2.8 million Odyssey while Manny and James went for the P1,238,888 Orlando—two vehicles that are not exactly the most popular models of their respective makers. Of course that doesn’t make them any less capable examples of this genre. Andy voted for the Hyundai Starex while Angel chose the best-selling Toyota Innova.
Bang for the Buck—Toyota 86
No less than five STAR Motoring writers picked Toyota’s game-changing new 86 sports car. (Uly voted it as Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ, as the two cars are virtually identical.) They cited good value for money and the 86’s inspired styling and handling as their prime considerations. Manny fell for sheer brute horsepower (try 420 hp), the equally head-turning looks—and the surprisingly supple ride—of the Ford Mustang.
Luxury subcompact—Audi A1
The little Audi, which could give the Mini Cooper a run for its money in the spunkiness stakes—takes the title of most recommended luxury subcompact. Kap, Manny and James voted for it. The BMW 1-series was chosen by two STAR writers, Uly and Andy, while the only rose among the thorns, Angel, gave her nod to the Mini Cooper.
Luxury Compact—BMW 3-series
Three writers (Kap, James, and Angel) went for the new-for-2012 BMW 3-series while two (Uly and Andy) picked the Mercedes-Benz C-class. Manny still had a hangover from his La Union-Baguio-La Union drive in the hybrid hatchback Lexus CT200h and voted for it.
Luxury Midsize/Large Sedan—Lexus GS and Mercedes-Benz S-class (tie)
Kap and James voted for the Mercedes S-class while Uly and James picked the Lexus GS, which comes with gasoline or hybrid V8’s. Manny liked the bang-for-the-buck turbo power and all-wheel-drive of the Volvo S60 T5 while Angel went for the Lexus ES 350, a car she drove in a sneak peek drive in Oregon last July.
Luxury Compact SUV—BMW X3
Here another near-unanimous pick. Five STAR writers gave their nod to the X3; with the only holdout being Uly who chose the Mini Countryman crossover.
Midsize/Large SUV—Porsche Cayenne
No less than three STAR writers (Manny, James, and Andy) voted for the Cayenne. Kap chose the Mercedes ML-class while Uly and Angel picked the Lexus RX 350/450h and Range Rover, respectively.

Brown Unit from north edsa, sa akin dapat yon kung nag in house ako, my reservation was made on oct. 15, 2012 (o.r. #01459), pinili ko bank p.o., kaya eto still waiting:-):-), na false alarm pa ako last nov. 27, my SA from quezon ave. was called me, kung ok lang ocean blue kc may parating cla the following day, he also asked about the tint to be installed, but around 8pm he called again just to say "sir sorry po, colorado po pala yong darating":-):-):-),
Just had a full tank (55.91 liters) Petron Turbo Diesel (3 Pesos more expensive but still lower than gasoline) the trip reading was 517km. So 9.247km/liter mixed Christmas heavy traffic and Tagaytay trip. The first full tank I had was just with regular diesel of Petron. It seems that there is no difference in terms of acceleration and performance. Although with the regular diesel the fuel consumption was 7.8km/liter but it was mostly city driving. The manual specifies a fuel sulfur content of less than 50ppm and this is Euro 4 standard. Our standard here for fuels is only Euro 2. Unioil advertises their diesel to comply with Euro 4. Maybe for next full tank, I'll try it. The only problem is there are few Unioil stations and none near our place and I have a BPI/Petron Card with additional rebates.
