So good thing with Chevy engineers. I think it's the first all-independent suspension midsize SUV under 2M or a little above 2M.
The current Santa Fe was the 1st midsize SUV under Php 2M with an independent rear suspension, AFAIK. The Trailblzer will be the 1st pick-up based SUV that will have an independent rear suspension.

Just an update, the sales division of Chevy Philippines told me that the new Trailblazer will be available tentatively starting 4th quarter of 2012

This isn't made to compete with the Explorer. Ibang level ang Explorer. The old US made trailblazer I think was in the same category as the explorer but this new one is totally different from that.

Fortuner, Montero Sport, Alterra, Everest competitor ito. It's so obvious naman

Yan kung gusto nila ng sales....otherwise, it would just go the way of the Captiva.

Wala pa breakthrough local Chevy here. The Trailblazer has the potential if price right.

Mitsubishi can actually afford to have the Montero at these price levels because the 4D56 is just an ancient powerplant. The turbo and intercooler are just add-ons to boost power.

I hope this feature to remain available in the Latin-American versions of the Trailblazer instead of getting the same solid axle from the Colorado as it's rumored to happen for budget issues...

Sir hindi po yan ang final na hitsura ng TBZ. Go to page 4 of this thread nandoon po yung final production version.

Wala pang price for the new TBZ. Malalaman natin yun pag lumabas na

i wonder how much the maintenance cost will be, on the captiva it was around 10-15k every PMS which is ridiculous. anyway i'm just glad that every year we get to have more and more choices available in the car industry unlike a couple of years ago.

Sana nga every 10k kms ang PMS nito, katulad ng Honda, and majujustify yung cost na 10k-15k every PMS. Ganun din kasi ang nagagastos namin sa Montero every change oil namin.

^ Tingin niyo, based doon sa pictures, naka HID yung range topping LTZ? And it's confirmed thru the eggman's link, magkakaroon ng low range LS variant kasi the LT variant is the mid range variant according to eggman's link

Yes, this is based on the Chevrolet Colorado, but don't worry about the ride because the Trailblazer has an independent five link rear suspension. Yes this SUV has a Ladder Frame set up. No, the top of the line Ranger has a bigger engine, 3.2L, while the Trailblazer and the Colorado has a 2.8L engine on their top of the line variants. The 3.2L engine of the Ranger and the 2.8L engine of the Trailblazer and Colorado have the same torque figures, 470 Nm, but the horsepower of the Ranger is higher by 20 ps (200 ps) than the Trailblazer and Colorado (180 ps)
