Change topic n tyo mga sir, medyo getting grim n.
Anyway, s cash option, has anyone here tried to negotiate that the roof rails be removed and a spoiler be attached as replacement instead on the LT?

wait... yun po bang susi nyo ay integrated yung remote sa key fob? yun kasing sa amin ay hiwalay at walang battery yung susi. i doubt kung may immobiliser yung susi kung walang battery.
same as mine, mukhang nakahiwalay yung remote sa key, naka key chain lang sya........thats why I am asking on how to check kung may immobilizer installed.........any other ideas?
ni-try ko yung sinabi ko para ma-confirm... kaso fail ako. detached the remote from the key chain and left it at home, drove the car a few meters from the house and then turned off the car. tried starting and it did start. now i'm puzzled if really this car has immobiliser cause i don't think the standard key has the transponder for the immobiliser (that's why i'm testing it with the remote). not sure of the range of this remote but possible that i drove still within the transponder's range allowing me to re-start the car. i'll check again, possibly taking the battery off the remote (two including the spare to be sure). will post the result.
AFAIK, the electronic immobilizer is integrated on the key not on the remote. the key has a chip inside containing a fixed code. When the key is inserted, the devices decodes the code and starts the engine. to test the immobilizer system, have the key duplicated by the key shop, the duplicated key will unlock/lock the doors, fit the ignition keyhole perfectly, you can switch the key to ACC,ON, or START position but the engine will not start since the chip that contains the code is not embedded on the key.
i'll still try it first than getting the key duplicated. it's because i believe Spark's key does not have the chip embedded on it, unless transponders now do not require electrical power from a battery. it is unlike what the newer cars have where the unlock/lock buttons and alarm activation is integrated in the key fob. still worth a try...
Heheehe.
2013 Spark is out in the US.
Dami reviews s Youtube, any news when will it reach our shores?
mga sir tanong naman.... which is better? spark 1.0MT or 1.2MT?
priority ko ay fuel efficiency.. ok na sana ako sa 1.0MT kaso baka mahirapan ito kapag uphill.
To RyanRocks,
Its been sometime since my last post here.
I have a 1.2MT Red Spark. Its been with us for almost 2 years now.
I just made a fuel test run....just a few hours back......
65km/h average speed (1600rpm)
aircon is at 1
2 people onboard
same gasoline station for filling up.
same pump.
24.027Km/liter.
I just tested it 30minutes ago.
Its 97percent pure highway driving.
This is approximately the same fuel consumption I had
in my testing about 1 year ago.
If you the do a lot of highways or open roads driving...
the fuel consumption might give you something to be cheerful about.
Hope this can help.
one addition....
my unit is close to 30000 kms.
Almost 2 years with us.
AIRCON broke down a week ago...
compressor problem.
I was thinking to myself...this is at least 20,000Php.
Chevrolet Quezon Ave replaced it.
I DID NOT PAY A SINGLE CENT.
