I know we have a thread on the original model... but I thought this deserved its own thread. (Sorry AM/AG4)

Word has it that Chevrolet will launch two new models at MIAS.

Guess what my brother saw on the way to Manila this morning?

The only question: Diesel? Considering this is a US-market car, unlikely... but it might be a necessity in our Asian market.

Given the size and specs, it's likely to compete against the CX9 and Veracruz. Given Chevrolet's newfound focus on build quality and suspension engineering, it may do surprisingly well in this market segment.

    Any takers?

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Will depend on the price, but the CX9 has JPEPA on its side.

Parang kulang sa sheet metal sculpturing. Masyadong simple yung design IMO.

Nakita ko nayan today(attended the launch sa MIAS).Ang haba nya.

This year daw yan lalabas katapat ng new Ford Explorer.Alam ko malakas sa gas to ayon narin sa reviews sa kanya sa U.S at mabigat masyado kaya medyo mabagal.

I prefer the looks of the Explorer over the Traverse... While the Explorer is now a CUV, I feel na it still somewhat retains its macho look.

To dwell in the past is a no-no win situation. Life is short, might as well enjoy it to the fullest.

Go out and greet the mighty sun with a and say Good Morning, what a lovely day today.

    Here's some perspective:

Every major car manufacturer, whether profitable or insolvent, experiences technical problems of a mechanical, electrical, material, manufacturing, or design nature differing only in the scope and scale of the issue. If they didn't, then there would be no need for warranties and recalls, and we consumers would be all the happier.

Even the biggest and most profitable car company (take a guess) has recently had its turn in the US with a floormat recall affecting 2million vehicles. Don't forget, that same brand conducts replacement of SCV valve in it's local CRDI models due to a fuel feed problem. A smaller brand (starting with "H") from the same country has recently issued a recall on its engine valve springs in a popular small HB model, affecting even our local market.

No brand is immune to this. So let's put these things in a proper perspective.

    Cheers

No wonder they didn't enter it against the Explorer. Would've been a slaughter.

Actually, its even lower than that. To be exact, the top of the line Ford Explorer Limited AWD is priced at P2.35M

...a Chevy Traverse AWD costs P3,488,888.
