Yep, that's what I did when that I got a scratch & dent at the side during my 1st week. 4,500 participation fee vs 3,000 if you pay for the repair, sayang din ang difference.

Sorry to hear what happened. P4,500 participation is normal for insurance. It's usually .5%-1% of the value insured. So if you own the LS Automatic valued at P908000, .5% value equates P4544 or rounded to P4500

thank you sir marlboro.. nagpalit ako sa caltez gold katulad po sa inyo. dati im just using ung sa shell 93ron, and sa FC ko lumalabas 12.5 l/100. tapos ngeon using ung gold naging 8.3 l/100... big difference. hehehe... ok nadin po ung sa AC ko . pero hindi ko ma feel if lalo lumalamig siya. pero i will try to feel padin in past few days.....

How insurance works dito is, lets say your total damage is P20K, then you will pay the participation fee then the rest insurance mag bayad.

Another reason for a bigger participation fee is also to protect insurance from customers who would claim damages even if its small.

Guys, thanks sa mga inputs. medyo malaki daw gastos kasi papalitan ung front skirt and ung silver lining dun sa may grill. tomorrow ibabalik ni misis sa casa for the replacement of front skirt. then ung silver lining e hintayin pa ung spare after 3 days daw siguro. post ko sana ung photos kaso hindi ko pa alam pano magpost. may other way pa ba aside from creating a photobucket account?

We bought our Cruze cash so we had a hard time getting ANY discount. So instead of buying insurance in house,we bought it out house through a friend of a friend. I was initially quoted around 30-33k comprehensive insurance with AOG. Then our friend hooked us up and we got it down to around 28k.

I observed by reading this and other pinoy based forum about vehicles, that American cars are generally has this negative refutation with the Pinoy masses. I can't blame most of them, particulary because of the early Fords and Chevys. Naalala nyo pa ba sila? =) So, I always got this question from friends and family...why Chevy???..."How about a Mitsubishi Lancer?" .....(yah right!!!)
I've been working as a design engineer with the auto industry here in Detroit for the last 10 yrs. And I have seen the progress on quality of each vehicle year after year. Tremendous test is being done on each part. It is such that when you got a lemon, you really are that unlucky. Vehicles like everything else are still not perfect but it is getting there. The body is bigger and more solid as trend. You can definitely feel the built quality of majority of new vehicles. Fewer issues. When you slam the door, it's solid thud. The styling, particularly Cruze is refreshing. Though the Cruze design is done in Korea, the overall image is American.
If you got chi-ching, then get a Camaro. But if your price point is hovering at P1M, Cruze is the closes thing to being in Motor City. Driving Cruze on a Pinoy road will be priceless to me.

The Chevy Cruze car itself is a good car. Although not fast, it will drive well. It is a comfortable cruiser of a car and not a performance car so quick cornering is NOT in it's forte. There is not much to fault about the car inside and out (maybe except that it is hard to find aftermarket wheels to fit the car's stud pattern).

The real problem with this car is the badge. I still say that the Chevy company in the Philippines still have a long way to go to improve it's aftersales service. There has been a lot of promises but from what I read, aftersales services seems "inconsistent" at best and same as old at worst (old in this case is Chevy being slow, expensive and spare parts for their cars not available).

I just had my Cruze checked at Chevy Pasig today for the aircon, ang hina kasi at sa # 3 lang mag-start lumamig. Pina-check agad ni sir awallit nang sinabi ko yung problem . They cleaned the air filter, and after that I noticed is maginaw na sa loob kahit # 1 pa lang, di na rin nagpapawis yung tube .
