296hp 3.6 liter DOHC V6
416hp 6.2 liter OHV V8 (SS)

The V8 SS model has a curb weight of 1700kg and a weight distribution of 52/48.
Expect the new Camaro to have 6-speed manual and 6-speed Auto transmission options. The new Camaro rides on a long 112.3 in wheelbase.
A 3rd engine is expected to be introduced, a V8 with less than 400hp.

The 2010 Camaro should reach the US showrooms in 2009, no prices are available at the moment.

Expect prices in the US to start in the low 20's for the base V6 model to around 30K for the sporty V8 model.

I'm guessing the Camaro RS (sporty trim V6 model?) in the photos will start in the mid 20's.

Still prefer the Challenger, something about it doesn't quite hit the mark looks wise like the past Camaro's when I saw it as opposed to the pictures. The V6 option will force Ford and Dodge to come up with a better V6 on the Mustang(210hp) and Challenger(250hp) if they want to compete since the price of gas is almost $5 and the V8 won't be the majority of the sales. Come to think of it that V6 has more hp than the last generation Camaro with the exception of the SS model.
