I really like this V5... at first glance, it looks so elegant and classy. Unfortunately, its trimmings and plastics inside and outside when I testdrove it several months ago were so flimsy and cheap-looking. But the ride itself, the response of the engine, and the gauges located in the center of the dashboard were all great!

If only my first impressions weren't as bad, I might have seriously considered getting it...
yes sir, its v5 crossover vehicle. para syang toyota previa

Sayang talaga 'to... it looks beautiful and with a 2.0L engine and all the creature comfort amenities, it's actually a steal for around P850K... Kaso, when I started opening the various cubbyholes inside, I noticed the really cheap and flimsy plastic they use - it made me feel that the covers for the various compartments inside would break off after a few tries. Also, my wife looked at the exterior and noticed that the chrome mouldings on the doors (or was it around the windows) were falling off... Sayang talaga...

Sus... nananahimik nga yung tao, tapos ganyan pa ang hirit... :hysterical:

A drive around the block at the MIAS can give me enough info for a short test article, but we obviously want to do a long term test.

We can't do a full review until we get a long term test unit. A single hour's drive or even a drive of a few hours won't give us enough subjective data for a review. It's simply that. Short pa yung test terms ng Chery... 3 days! We're working on it, but I'd like to do it as a mega-group test... masaya, eh...

Chery QQ... Chana Benny... Suzuki Alto... Kia Picanto... masaya!

I was quite impressed by what I saw on the floor for Chana and Chery... they're actually using direct ignition engines with electronic throttles... really high tech stuff. So while they might suck at fit and finish (terrible interior fabric, and the plastics are still bad), they're at least paying attention to the mechanicals.

As to whether they'll prove durable over time... we'll only know when we get our hands on them... but Chana, in particular, seems really serious about reassuring people that their products are first class... they have a 3 year, 100,000 km warranty on the Benny... holy crow!

Anyway... give me a month to lose about 100 pounds, and then we'll do the test-drive... :hysterical:

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    You're right on that.

I was having trouble looking for the power steering fluid reservoir to check the fluid level...eh wala pala coz the Benni has Electric Power Assist not the old type na hydraulic so this means that this does not increase the drag (parasitic lost) of the engine. BTW the steering is light as a feather when you are maneuvering while stopped, but feels heavier when speed goes up 20kph ika nga variable speed steering.

I could not believe also that the Benni has fly by wire throttle (instead of the cable type we all know) but a closer look and there is no cable that is connected to the accelerator pedal what i see I think is a sensor that senses the throttle pedal position and communicates it to the throttle body to determine whats the correct opening. whew!
