Fast Retailing Co. (owner of Uniqlo) seems to be doing ok

    not great but ok

they still make more money in Japan

    they're opening more stores internationally

expecting international sales to overtake domestic sales as more international stores open

1997 Asian financial crisis when the Thai baht entered into a similar freefall and outflow. Images of CEOs selling sandwiches still fresh.

Is the Philippines left in a vunerable position with it's borrowing spree for the so-called "buildx3"?

    PH has room to borrow

but PH economy is already running hot and is in late cycle and it's going into a period of rising interest rates (global) with a large current account deficit which is not good

BSP should not be so dovish (one rate hike for the rest of the year?! seriously?!)

BSP should be on a tiightening bias if they want to avoid a downturn
