Then stepping stone mo nayon

madami ngang SAP & well-paying jobs dito sa US pero ang hirap humanap ng H1B sponsor...i myself have been getting some calls pero when they learn i need sponsorship, they won't do it...having the skills is one thing pero getting sponsored is an entirely different ballgame...maybe it's because we're taking their jobs away from them?...

I am an H1B myself pero I dont believe na im taking away their job from them, I am better than most US citizens with this skill according to my experience working with them.

Five years ago, my cousin got a job in the US for 8K. He was working with San Miguel then as a SAP programmer.

ang laking perwisyo kasi mag-sponsor ng work permit dito sa US eh. i've had to do it so many times and it was so painful that the company just decided to stop it altogether.

US resident chaka work permit applicants.

    what I mean is... ummm...

how much is the cost of living there in the US?

for example, the US has a per capita income of around $40K. would this be MORE THAN enough for a single person like me?

    thanks!

$40K is OK sa midwest pero kulang na kulang sa NY tri-state area or CA west coast.

Its cheaper to live when there's at least more than one income. Being single in the US is "usually" more expensive (when you compute all expenses by number of heads) - plus tax is much more expensive when you're single. $40K a year may or may not be enough depending on where you live. The most expensive bills are rent/mortgage, cars, bunch of insurance (health, car, life, etc), food and gas bills. With that alone can rack up more than $40K a year. Average one bedroom rent per month typically is about $850-1000 on the low-end.
