May mga merchant na bigla offline. Mahirap pagkatapos mo kumain eh di ka makabayad dahil offline. Lalo na these last few days, madalas offline bdo debit card.

"heto 1000 kesos down payment. pag hindi ko binalikan sa biyernes, iyo na yan."

i once purchased a used car via 1000 peso down payment.
back when 1000 pesos meant something larger than now's.

kung hindi pumayag, then it wasn't meant to be mine.

To some extent I am just waiting for the local 'palengke' to transition to debit/credit cards. I always need to break 1000 peso bills when doing my palengke rounds, or buying food from the neighborhood karinderias. For groceries, I am being hassled sometimes being asked to provide a legit ID when paying by CC, so I end paying by debit card. So happens I almost always leave my DL in the car as I don't want the hassle of applying for replacement DL due to a damaged card. Small hassle though as most establishments do not require one, although I am of the opinion they should for better peace of mind.

Just one disadvantage for me is when having a large load on your GCash or Shopee/ Lazada wallet. You kinda worry that it might get lost or gobbled up via the system, a virus or a hacker.

Yung palengke payment via gcash malapit na siguro yan or meron na siguro. Meron na kasing mga sari-sari stores na tumatanggap ng gcash, meron na rin taho vendor.

I'm also the same way sa gcash/paymaya/shopee. I only load kung ano lang kailangan, parang petty cash lang. I never load more than ₱5k.

It's very convenient now paying credit card bills. Before, I had to go to a BPI/MBTC branch to pay their respective CCs. Now, I use GCash for Citi CC, while Paymaya for BPI and MBTC CCs. Loading GCash/Paymaya is even more convenient with BPI online, with zero service fee.

does your source of income still pay via the time-honored method of cash on the barrelhead?
or, derecho banco income mo, and you withdraw from it big-time, from time to time?

Is paymaya more cheaper than gcash when paying metrobank cc? We are currently using gcash and I wonder if the fee is lower for paymaya. Although I don't remember if there was a fee.

There is no service fee. I just use GCash because Paymaya can't pay Citi cards. I'm just used to Paymaya, then GCash. Also, GCash max payment is P100K per day so I have to pay the balance the following day, although I'm not sure if it's just GCash or standard for all.

There was a time madalas ako ma-penalty dahil sa delayed payment. I had to go to Citibank Libis pa to pay via cash deposit that sometimes I miss the payment due date. Di kagaya ngayon, celphone lang makakapagbayad ka na.

Magkaiba. Wallet limit ay max balance ng GCash, while payment limit ay transaction limit (cash out)

    per day.

Yup, stupid question on my part, what I really meant to ask was if you have that increased limit to your wallet, doesn't the pay limit also adjust itself upwards. Just curious.

I never have more than 50k in my wallet and it's stashed at Gsave so it earns interest. This amount is enough to last me for a few months and avoid changing my bank password often everytime I make transfer.
