Ano bang net cafe that has the best specs for gaming sa Metro Manila?
Netopia, I guess. Pwede rin yung Excel ng Expressions.Originally Posted by A_eyE

Actually it depends on the customers you typically have. typically web surfers and chatters don't need much bandwidth. Downloaders and online gamers will want as much bandwidth as you can afford. You just have to balance it.Originally Posted by mikey177
For a typical shop with 20 to 30 PCs, i think a guaranteed rate of 512kbps is good enough. Note: Eastern DSL provides 256kbps minimum and 1mbps max for only P5500/month (I often download stuff at near 1mbps speed when I use eastern). PLDT DSL provides 768kbs but only guarantees a small fraction of that speed.
tanong ko lang, since net cafe yan, syempre may MS office din kayo dapat since minsan may nag tatype lang for school work, license din ba MS ofice nyo? parang ang bigat ng mga licenses, plan to put up 1 before pero hanggang ngayon di ko pa nagagawa, will use smart cards sana to access pc, wala nang taga lista ng oras, parang prepaid na yung PC access, may smart card reader na lang
Thanks for the explanation, ghosthunter.
I'd also like to know the answer to rukawa's question about licensing MS Office. Is there a way to get a discount from Microsoft for the licenses since you are essentially making a bulk purchase?
try inquiring for a "site" license or "small business kit".Originally Posted by mikey177
Site license would be a single CD with several CDKEYS
Small business kit would be a cut down version of MS Office. It would still contain word, excel and powerpoint but no MS access and other enhancements.
Matagal ang Return-Of-Investment sa Internet Cafe business, especially kung ang target customers mo ay mga elementary school students (kawawang mga nanay...) syempre hindi mo pwedeng tagain ang singil sa kanila. Kaya most internet shops are forced to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week para bumilis ang pasok ng pera.
open office gamit ko…it’s a freeware…Originally Posted by rukawa

sobra saturated na nga yan biz na yan, tingin ko mga kumikita lang dyan yun mga may-ari din ng building na nag-biz na yan.
Thanks again for the tip, ghosthunter.
oldblue,
yes, there may be too many Net cafes in the Metropolitan Manila area, but there is still room for growth in rural areas. Where I'm staying, there is still strong demand for Internet and computer-related services, particularly since there are five big colleges and a number of smaller elemetary/high schools in our city.
