16 years from my previous employer, now going 5years

6 years on my first job, and months palang sa 2nd job ko hopefully tumagal ako kasi maganda compensation ko rito

after I graduated from college self employed ako, kalakasan pa ng mga computer shops that was 2003 until 2006 ang shop ko then after that naman nag freelance naman ako for 2 years. And then dito na ako nagumpisang maging empleyado pero first company ko is maliit lang kaya hindi nagtagal nagsara 1 year lang ako sa kanila. 2008 - 2009. at ngayong current company ko from 2009 til present (7years na last january7. Iniisip ko mag business ulit, pag minalas dito sa current ko at ayoko ma mag empleyado...

Been working for 8 yrs now, had 5 different companies.

Two are project based.

Longest tenure so far is 2yrs with my current employer.

I think ganun talaga sa IT marami ang palipat lipat ng company.

So far, almost 6 years

May 7 year itch ata ako pag dating sa work.

1st: 8 months
2nd: 2 months
3rd: 2 years
4th: 7 years
5th: 7 years
Now: going 4 years

Consequence, less tenure upon retirement.

1st - 14 yrs (started working student when i was in college)
2nd- 2 yrs
3rd - 5 yrs
4th - 4 yrs
5th - 3 yrs ( somobra 1 yr lang ang plan)
6th - 9yrs ( napasobra uli 3 yrs plan lang)

In all those years, i only worked for 1 industry which is notorious for retrenchment. Despite of that, i was never a casualty kahit mag volunteer pa ako. Except for my transition from 4th to 5th (due to SARS scare) never akong nagkaroon ng idle days during my transfers.

ako may 4 year itch but the longest job is 7 yrs and 8 months... nag resign din ako dito on the 4th year.

1st job = 4 years sa Robinsons
2nd job = 7 years and 8 months sa isang Diaper Company
3rd job = 4 years sa isang IT Consulting Company. di ako nakapag resign kasi nag sarado
4th job = 6 months sa isang IT Consulting Company. di ako nagpa regular kasi nakahanap ng better opportunity
5th job = 3 years and counting. not sure lang kung maghanap na naman ako ng bago. medyo wala sa hulog yung isang director na boss ko. lahat ng work ko IT related.
