try ROPxx bonds purchased through banks.

    minimum investment P5,000.

annual interest at around 5% net, interest rates vary depending on market situation.

principal and interest protected if you complete the term.

you have option to sell early for additional profit.

inquire at your preferred bank if they offer this product.

xx stands for maturity year. for example ROP25 would mean that the bond would mature on year 2025.

Safest? I get what you mean but I wouldnt say that when talking about investments. Risk and return are proportional. Cost averaging doesnt make one's investment "safest". But it reduces risk. BTW, i'm waiting for november so I could start investing again. Choosing between BDO's EIP (Equity Fund) and BPI's RSP (Odyssey Funds). BDO doesnt require 10k up front though.

    mutual fund din ako.
actually, i had 100k last year.... invested it sa variable life insurance para hitting two birds in one stone. protection and investment.
after a year, the value increased from 100k to 120k.

20% per year is not bad after all.

Basta, kung single pa at di pa kataasan ang sahod, don't save more than 20%, you'll hate your life.

If you are earning like 10k a month, okay na siguro 1k na savings, 1k saRSP. The rest, expenses at pang konting luho. Ehehe!

It's different if you are earning 100k, dapat diyan 20% savings, 20% riskier investments, para may thrill. Ahaha!
60k a month is more than enough for moderate lifestyle, and a 1m+ car. Ehehe!

so for 120T at 4.8% 5 years lockup..

    4.8% x 5 = 24%

    120T x 24% = 28,800 for 5 years
