Were You A Working Student Before?

Anyone here who became a working student before? When and what company did you worked on before during your student days, either 70's, 80's, 90's and so on.

16 ako nong nagbabaliktad ako ng karne sa mc donald's. sophomore high school ako noon. that was my summer job. then i was bagging groceries at safeway for a while until college. then i had an internship at one of the then big five accounting firms kpmg.

Stock pa rin. Mahigpit dito sa Kuwait. Actually, hindi allowed dito ang mag modify unless OEM na talaga.

Btw, dahil mahirap lang, dati akong nagtrabaho as service crew sa Pizza Hut Greenhills, sa kanto ng Wilson St. nuong 1987, pero wala na ngayon dun. Then, nag work ako as waiter sa Hard Rock Cafe Malate,now called Ten Years After, for a few months, then I was transferred to Hard Rock Cafe sa may Sunvar Plaza, sa likod ng Makati Cinema Square, from late 1987 till I graduated in college in 1990.

I really missed the time I had worked at Hard Rock Cafe. Para bang araw-araw nasa party ako, lalo na kapag Fridays and Saturdays, kahit waiter lang ako nuon. Wow! I really missed it. Masaya na mahirap. Pero masaya pa rin. After ng duty namin, especially after Friday or Saturday, lasing na rin ako. Good gracious! Daming magagandang chicks na guests at that time.

Even when I am already working in a bank during the 90's, I make it sure that during the weekends, nasa Hard Rock Cafe ako, but as a guest na.

Wherever they are right now, I would like to thank my manager at that time, Ms. Gloria "Goyet" Ornopia for giving me the chance na palagi akong night shift para makapag aral ako during daytime. Also, to my bosses Mr. Johnny Borromeo and Mr. Boy Gatus, producer of Iskul Bukol.

In 1994, nag closed shop ang HRC Sunvar Plaza. Dunno why. Nakakalungkot.....

Ako, working student. Working for my dad, as a gasoline boy.

After my dad passed away, I worked for my elder brother, as a cashier.

ako rin kinailangan kong magtrabaho kasi di naman malaki kita ng parents ko kaya nakakahiyang huminga pa ng allowance.

Better. I repaired and built desktops for my classmates and teachers. Soon enough, several departments of the school became my clients...

I thought i'd have difficulty being an employee because i often do things in my own time and pace.

I got to be financially independent from my parents. Initially, i just wanted to have a source of money for my extra curricular activities but it proved to be more.

just for the kicks kasi usung-uso noong college or di ko lang nakita na yung iba kailangan talaga...nainggit ako and for the love ok k-swiss and tretorn lang dahil ayaw ako ibili ng nanay ko kaya i worked as a crew of wendy's nagtahan...summer job lang kaso di nakaya ng time ko as an AR stude...kaya di ko na tinuloy..saya sana..dami nanliligaw na foreigner from (ano nga bang schools yung mga yun? de ocampo and earist???) mga pakistani ....kaya bf ko nun (na hubby ko na ngayon)..bantay sarado...

Kung anu-anong work na din napasok ko since elementary pa... pandagdag ng baon, used to wash taxis. kadiri yun kapag may:suka: Nung hs, nagbenta ng avon products, saka mga candies. college buti na lang may stfap. tapos nag student assistant din.

yep, sa college years ko, full time sa internet cafe and at PC retail din. sa may escolta.

Kinda... worked in R&D on automation and robotics in a company called Robotics and Mechatronics Industries.

Hmmm kasama ba dito ung part-time business? Say nageedit ng videos? Gumagawa ng sites? Then yes, I was and still am a working student. Negosyo nga lang, parang di pa ko ready to work in a real workplace

Worked in Jollibee before...was 1987. :D
Apprenticeship in an architectural firm 1991.

I'm a working student right now. We have a small business here in Quezon City where in I do some "all-around" duties in the morning to afternoon. I go to DLS-CSB at night to take up BS Management in their CDP program as a payee.

Yes. College: McDo crewman, credit card agent, nagtitinda ng tshirts from HK. High school: karinderia waiter (family biz), pickup/delivery ng mga garmets for embroidery sa Angles. Elementary: tindero/delivery boy ng bibingka at pancit, nagtitinda ng sampaloc at candies galing US base sa classmates sa school.

Drive ako ng colorum jeep sa gabi mga late 80's yun, byaheng cubao-rosario..
Hindi pa matrafic nun... 45 minutes lang rosario pasig to zobel sa taft by G-LINER... Frm there walk na lang to ADAMSON...
