(Lokohin niyo lelong niyong panot! ).

Another band aid approach by some dumbass politician.

Okay guys, calm down... I finally bought a copy of Business World, weekend edition.

The tax is a proposed emergency tax, to be activated once certain economic factors are met. But unlike the E-VAT, those statistical factors are not going to be met for a long while yet. According to Congress, this is so that there will be no political repercussions for the administration in power at the time... the tax activates only if it is needed (daw).

The tax will be just like the tax now imposed on savings accounts. O.2%. Taken in that light, it's not going to hurt us small fish that much, but it's projected to be able to generate maybe 12-13 billion pesos in years when it is activated.

Still don't like it... but it is written reasonably enough such that it might be passed.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

To surprise us? Anyway, now that I know it's 0.2%, I'm not worried about it... I'm already getting taxed out of my accounts, so it's liveable.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
