WE have a question for Bayan Muna Rep. Teddy Casiño.

You see, Casiño railed against the House of Representative as being dominated by landlords, warlords, and pawns of big business.

This he did exactly on the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the lower chamber of Congress.

If so, Mr. Casiño, why are you there with these same landlords, warlords, and pawns of big business you loath so much?

That rich irony struck us when we heard him saying his piece over a radio talk show yesterday.

By the way, do you not come from a family which marginally qualifies as a member of the elite in this country?

Don’t you think your utterances make you a traitor to your own class and a slight on the reputation and integrity of a few good, brilliant, and truly patriotic members of the House?

The name of your party list organization means “country first,” but recent events and Bayan Muna activities suggest no patriotic agenda but an ideological one.

Even your party’s means and methods of campaigning hewed closer to the good, old-fashioned ways of traditional politics — large and expensive streamers, print ads, TV spots, and even using the electronic medium.

As a leftist campus youth leader, you attacked the aptly called lower House outside the halls of the Batasan, Now you are attacking its integrity from within as a nominee of Bayan Muna.

As an elected nominee, your main job is to craft meaningful legislation that squares with the literal meaning of your party list organization.

Now, stop blabbering away worn-out leftist rhetoric and do your job.

That’s what we taxpayers are paying you for.

The partylist system has lost its meaning and purpose IMO. Except for a very few, most are not really representing the interests of their sectors. Napanood ko sa imbestigador bago election na meron yung mga partylist reps na naka CRV pa na bago..etc. While no one has the right to deny them such perks, para sa akin hindi magandang tignan kung ang ni re represent mo eh mga under priveleged.

Yung mga na elect din na leftists partylists representatives eh palagi mong makikita sa kalye nag ra rally when they were already given the chance in congress to air their gripes and help craft laws. It is their right to rally and speak out on the streets but if they don't believe in the system that they are currently in right now, they might as well quit.

well what do you expect from these leftists purveyor of chaos? ang Oso bihisan mo man ng barong tagalog o suit at hayaang makapasok sa kongreso, Oso pa rin yan(di ko po sinasabing animal' siya symbol kasi ng communists ang bear ).

anyway, party list votes has lost its purpose. a lot of these party list groups does not truly represent the sector they are supposed to represent.
