malayo talaga price difference between US and PHIL... why? becoz we don't build cars.. and this could be one of the factors kaya gusto nila mag-boom ang local car industry natin.. not necessarily sariling brand..

but once the car industry flourishes, everything follows.. investors will come in, set-up their plants, assembly lines, exporting cars, more jobs, more purchasing power for the people...

but if u kill the industry during it's infancy, none of this will materialize...

i am not in anyway connected to the car industry.. but sana man lang bago maging extinct ang gasolina ay magkaroon ng sariling car brand ang pilipinas..

Magkano ba yung jeepney? Like I said, baka yun na nga lang an bilhin namin at yung perang matira, iinvest na lang sa malaking bahay.

Why not? Sa jeepney nga ako natuto mag-drive. Bagong dating lang kami sa Pilipinas noon. 12 years old lang ako nang turuan ako magdrive ng tiyo ko. Pati na yung inuman (San Miguel) at pulutan, noong dose anyos ako nagsimula. Ang ayaw ko lang talaga ay mag-yosi. Nasanay na din akong mag-drive ng Jeep at Humvee noong AF pa ako. Kaya jeepney, ok lang yun. Kung hindi, e di public transportation na lang, right?

tagal na nitong thread ah since my last reply. Anyway yung 500k tax issue eh na hold, kaya tuloy na naman ang importation ng jdm's, pero di na sa subic. Lately may dumating sa SBMC pero majority lumipat ng bagsakan. And to you eljo, please observe proper courtesy to jdm users, this is a forum for discussion and not for you to air your grievances ok. competition is the best way to get value for money products! now that jdm had captured big portions of auto industry market, the solution should be the other way around- local brand new units should lower thier prices (in every aspect they can) para hindi mamatay ang local auto industry natin. Mali rin kase kung itaas ang tax ng JDM dahil hindi na nila kailangan ng local autos natin na magbaba ng presyo. and what will happen? mahal na ang brand new local and mahal pati ang surplus!!!! sino kawawa? eh di pinoy din!!! dapat we should fight to lower the taxes or other production cost ng kotse that are locally produced so that we pinoy will surely buy brand new units.
