ive heard talk that pltl can go up to 6.00. but thats just talk.
although pldt is now 1690. very nice hehehe magkasabay lang halos ang 2 stocks na yan. some analyst predict it can breach 1700 with a high of 2000. but again, that just talk, accompanied with some analysis. hmmm...
hirap mag-cut ng loss no?
guys,
warren buffet's style is more buying low and holding that position for a very long time, like years. looks hard for me. like most investors, i get bored easily with a stock so i'll want out once ive locked in the profits. then move to another stock.
go for a broker you can trust, pero in the end, the decision is still yours to make. so, as expert brokers advice, you have to know what you are doing.
it does take a long time to master the market. ive heard of one guy who had a learning curve of 5 years before he could go in with confidence.
ive been trying to read up on fundamental and technical analysis. but being a non-business graduate, it looks totally greek to me. pero basa pa rin.
just my view, i would rather invest locally because its our way of helping out our own economy. but i have to admit that i would totally go into the US markets if i had the dough, which i don't. hehehe
naku chip, napaso na rin ako sa MPC. not for the faint-hearted like me. mining stocks are pretty scary too imho. i'd see philex or manila mining's price go sky high and i'd be scratching my head. anlalaki ng utang, la pang kinikita, pero tumataas B)
btw, you can play the stock market simulation at www.pse.org.ph. good news is you don't lose money; bad news is wala ka ring kikitain B)
*boyl3. di ko na bubuhatin yung company ko. di ako sa sales eh. pero check out the products/options from the big3 namely: philam, sunlife and insular life.
among the three, i find sunlife's products the best but the most expensive and insular's products the cheapest (rates). philam is in between these two giants in terms of product specs and rates, but is the biggest life insurance company here in the philippines.
what i would suggest to you, is that if you are really interested, talk to their agents and weigh your options.
i agree...discipline is very important, lalo't talamak ung 'following the herd' mentality. baka matulad ka sa lemmings B)
*morrisey_05: yah, me effect din yan i guess. mining firms kasi dito in general baon lampas ulo sa utang, and alot of them will take a few years(at least) bago makamine, so in the red sila for the next few years.
that's why there was a lot of hope for the sector when the SC lifted the restrictions on foreign ownership of mining companies. i bought some mining stocks and wanted to hold on for the long term, kasi the market didn't react well to the SC lifting because probably as you suggested, they have loads of bad debts.
on the bright side, a lot of foreign companies are expressing interests to get in. pero i think it will take some years before this can lead to a rise in the mining stocks.
btw, i got bored with the mining stocks and sold them na rin. had to take some losses there. hehehe
also, the Phisix hit a new high today. Congrats to those who got in at the right time! libre naman hehehe
i heard banco de oro is on the move to acquire equitable-pci, any truth to this and if ever anong stocks ang magandang puntahan, banco de oro? sm investments? equitable?
also, since investments na rin naman ang pinaguusapan, anung banks ang maganda rates sa td ngayon? rcbc savings offers around 5.5% for 180 days...any better rates from other banks?
dude, done deal na ung BDO-EPCIB B) there's just weeding out the bad eggs sa EPCIB board...nice move to install Tessie Sy-Coson as director
they're expecting the great bank mergers of the 90's to repeat itself, so the big 3 or big 5 will be out looking to buy smaller but good banks(this is pure speculation on my part). imho i don't think mergers will be that rampant, as the economy and politics aren't exactly stable as before.
Guys pasali, what about the FOREX? Anybody doing it right now? Im been itching for the past month. To start with, some self proclaimed " guru " is selling kit " how to do ti right " for about 3K to 4K dollars. I know there's only two way to make a million here in the US.... Real estate or stock....
