Hmm, naisip ko lang, check sa area nyo kung saturated na, baba na sobra /kilo charge ngayon, as low as 25/kg, with the rising cost of electricity and water rates, baka bumaba ang margins mo sobra...

    Always...location, location, and location.

Also, ask yourself, how fast can a neighbor set up a competing business? What will you do if that happens?

Usually price, convenience, and quality lang yan.

Don't get me wrong.....I may sound pessimistic, but as long as you plan ahead, and adapt, you'll do just fine.

Like all businesses, nasa service lang yan

Sa dami na working families ngayon at mga nag boboard lang, it is viable, as long as price is not your only selling point.

i'm in this business. but the pay is low (zero) and my boss (wife) is a slavedriver. kailangan tapos agad kasi magsasaing pa ako

ok, but seriously - i would suggest that you test the market before investing. look for a place where people are too busy to do their own laundry and can't go very far (a great place would be right on the ground floor of a condo building or the entrance of a village where all the yuppies live). do a survey with the homeowners association to see how many people would use the product and if the market looks attractive go for it

location is important but what is equally important is a truck or an L300/LC2700 van. why? try mo mag-cultivate or mag-scout ng restaurants, massage and spas, hotels, motels, inns, gyms, salons and barbershops etc.... from bed sheets, table sheets to towels sigurado ka pa weekly may trabaho ka. but of course bidding ito ata pababaan and you'll need higher end laundry equipments.

ok siguro ang business na ito as long as di pa kayo tabi tabi na puro laundry busines. meron akong client na luandry business kaya lang ang concentration nila ay hotels and resorts. kung malakihan nga lang account expect that will haggle for the price and ask for credit terms.

thanks sa mga inputs ninyo. actually, nasa planning stage pa lang naman kami. we live in a condo development with 2 out of the total 3 buildings already occuppied. sa clubhouse namin may 2 commercial spaces available, and wala pang kumukuha. wala ring laundry shops sa loob. along the main street maraming laundry shops pero all have piles of laundry na often times it would take them 3 to 5 days bago mo pwedeng kunin yung laundry mo. sa condo naman namin, walang area for drying clothes kaya most of the tenants have their clothes washed sa mga laundry shops. in terms of location, i dont think it would be a problem.

for those who are operating a laundry shop, ask ko lang sana kung ano consumption niyo ng water, electicity and consumables (soap, etc). and baka may i-refer kayo na suppliers. thanks.
