pano mag condotel? what's the nature of condotel? can someone enligthen me? thanks!
Condotel yata is parang serviced apartment... or hotel na nagpaparenta ng monthly... so which is which?
Is Prince Plaza II a Condotel? Kasi they are condo units, but some units are rented out like hotels on a daily weekly or monthly basis. And they are serviced, meaning Housekeeping takes care of ... housekeeping.
There's this hotel in P. Burgos nagpaparent din yata ng monthly. Ganon ba ang Condotel?
who takes care of housekeeping? i mean, if i have a condo, i decided to make it a condotel, i should go there and make the housekeeping service, ganon ba ang setting?
That's the concept. Although, it takes several unit owners to pool their condo units so they can lease it out on a daily, weekly or monthly basis --- much like a hotel.Originally Posted by vilaern
The unit owners would have to engage the services of the property manager or leasing manager to take care of all the details regarding the leasing of the units (i.e. furnishing, housekeeping, maintenance and repairs). The income of each unit owner is based on the occupancy of the pooled units as a whole. So, even if a particular unit is not rented out for a week or a month, meron pa rin siyang makukuha.

I live in a house with relatives before and everything works fine.. but now im in a condo. and im doing everything all by myself. Also the big problem is THE LAUNDRY... tsk tsk hirap.pero masaya kasi malapit sa office. kasama gf.walang storbo ganu. very independent. doing everything on our own.
I've tried living in both. May kanya kanyang pros and cons din yan. Assuming parehas ang budget mo, let's say 2M. For that money outside the metro na makukuha mo. Sa condo naman within the metro pero maliit.
Pros ng house, bigger space, safer in terms of earthquakes, and you can customize to how you like it. Pero depende rin sa subdivision. Some subs don't let you make drastic improvements sa exterior para di masira yung itsura ng subdivision.
Cons naman ng house, malayo ka. Any house you can get within the metro mahal na. Talo ka rin sa gas kasi malayo. Maintenance cost mataas din especially when you need to repair roofs, paint the house, etc..
Pros ng condo, location ang lapit mo sa city, kami we live near restaurants, cinemas, shopping, etc.. lakad lang ok na. security, ok. kampante ka rin kasi maraming guard, di basta basta makapasok tao and if you need help buzz ka lang sa baba meron na aakyat to help you. kahit mataas ng konti association dues wala ka naman gastos sa exterior. interior nalang ng condo mo problemahin mo. tipid ka rin sa gas kasi nasa city ka na. mas maiksi biyahe. pwede ka rin mas late gumising.
cons, earthquake. di pwede masyado mag ingay. wala kang lupang sarili but you own a part of the condo rin naman. so kahati ka rin sa lupa. maliit nga lang. mahal ang parking space, para kang bumili ng kotse if you want your own.
actually, depende talaga sa lifestyle mo. ako happy ako sa condo. i miss living in a house sometimes. pero the convenience makes up for it naman most of the time. tahimik naman dito sa condo namin. maganda ang management. pero ok sa amin kasi matanda na kaming lahat, meaning wala na kaming immediate family na bata or growing up pa. wala nang mahilig magtatakbo dito sa condo.
pero tama yung iba, for raising a family a house is definitely better. compromise na siguro townhouse.... mas affordable dito sa city ang mga townhouse. parang best of both worlds. community living and may open spaces ka rin....

House is the choice. Nice if you can find one in a nice housing community with existing security. This will entail some dues na rin. Its always great to park your car as you get home, right near your house door, especially if you have stuff to unload from the car to the house like groceries, supplies, etc. What we considered really great from condos is the view, but jst can't get over fears of earthquakes and fire, plus limited mods you can do to your unit.

sa condo ng brod ko, it takes addl. 10 mins to go down the lobby lalo na pag rush hour. and another 10 min to get his car off the carousel parking.
at pag minalas-malas ka pa na may nakalimutan ka, 20 min. na yun.
so bago sya makalabas ng bldg, naka-15-20 min na din sya hehehe
ano ba real deal with townhouses? do you just buy the house or pati yung land?Originally Posted by chairman
You can't go wrong with a house and lot. I should be asking the same question because we may retire there someday. My folks live in Dona Manuela Subdivision in Las Pinas City. I stand to inherit the house because my sister already has one at wherever International School is (where my nephews and nieces go to school).
What kind of monthly payments can we expect for say, a 4-bedroom house or say, even cash? If we move there, we'd have relatives living with us who'd help maintain the place in exchange for board, free schooling, and allowances.
