November 4th, 2009 07:53 PM #1i applied a dollar secure in generali pilipinas, in one of bdo branch in metro mnla. i'll have annual premium of 2k dollars to pay annually for the period of five years,
actually wala talaga akong balak mag apply dun sa product nila pinilit lang ako, and i also said to the agent na baka i pull out ko rin after a year, and he did'nt tell me the risk/consequences...
so after 1 year and 2 month's , i had an emergency and needed money...
so i asked the generali custum service if i terminate my policy magkano makukuha ko, as i said i already paid my first 2000 dollars...
they said makukuha ko lang is 35 dollars wtf... out of 2,000 dollars 35 dollars lang makukuha ko
guy's makatarungan ba yun? pwede ba ko magreklamo and if,. saan agency ng govt' . thanks sa mga magrereply..

Kung magrereklamo ka malamang sa SEC. But more importantly did you read the papers before you sign? You seemed surprised kasi? Kasi kung nakalagay sa paper ganun and you sign (not reading or not understanding is not an excuse) then talo ka pa rin unless you can prove sa SEC na the product is fraudulent...

Baka naman di kayo nagkaintindihan, baka the $35 is the interest earned and ito lang ang pwede mo ilabas pero intact pa rin yung initial investment mo na $2000.

Its pre-termination, pero dapat not that loss of value sa part nung client kasi even though di mo natapos yung term you should still be protected. This would be interesting if consumer protection would really be applied there in pinas. If in doubt go to Tulfo & ask for assistance.

November 4th, 2009 08:42 PM #5Kahit anong pilit nila ikaw pa din may last say dyan. I guess ikaw ung tao na mahirap tumanggi.
Ganyan talaga, tama nga baka miscommunication na naman yang $35. Ask mo muna mabuti. In most cases talagang palugi.

usually kasi may cash value yang mga ganyan.. so hanggang hindi pa tapos yung term.. mababa talaga cash value.. malamang nakalagay yan sa contract.. at usually may pinapakita silang table dyan.. so dapat meron ka non bago ka nag agree.. na after so so years.. eto lang po makukuha nyo pag na terminate.. pero masyado naman yatang mababa yan from $2K to $35.00..
i have something similar.. pero pay 10 sa Pru Life UK.. i'm paying around 25K per year.. for 10 years.. nakaka 8 years na ako.. ang cash value eh nasa 115T pa lang kasama na dividends.. pero pag ni compute mo ang cash out ko nasa 200T na..

i called the custum service again kanina , yun nga daw it's 37 dollars lang ang makukuha ko if i terminate my policy..
i checked my policy: and the cash value is something like this:
year 1,not applicable(which is yun $37 lang makukuha) but already paid $2k
year 2, $2,692 supposed to be paid $4k , minus 2,692 talo parin ng $1,308
year 3, $4,257 " $6k, " 4,257 " $1,743
year 4, $5,888 " $8k, " 5,888 " $2,112
year 5, $7,584 " $10k " 7,584 " $2,416
************************************************** ****
year 6, $7,886 " " 7,886 " $2,114
year 7, $8,200 " " 8,200 " $1,800
so the policy is 5 years to pay, the policy sayz i'll have to wait for 3 years before i get my benefit, (although insurance nga sya and the sum assured is $6,550 only, if anything happens to me)
so upon 8th year my benefit will commence i will recieve $524 every two years, so it would be like $262 per year, yun nga lang every two years lang sya marerecieve which is $524...
so just my thought, for 10,000 dollars divide by 524 dollars is 19 multiply by two is 38.... so it means i'll wait for thirty eight years pa bago ko pa ma bawi yung ten thausand dollars ko...
did they get a great steal from me??? and of their other client/policy holders like me????????
deym... i got ripped off ????

you lent them money and they invested it
before the investment matures, you want your money back
what do you expect?
