seriously, wala ng grab franchise sa Manila? Pressured ako kasi sabi ng driver namin sa Auntie ko nagc close daw yung application every 3 mos daw? Kaya my Auntie said pag dating niya sa US padala na daw niya agad yung pera sakin
I thought of that, to get him a motorcycle pero he is 40s na kasi, parang pang bata lang delivery apps/motorcycle

owners are drivers
those who just do it on the side
hindi pang full time
kaya you'll meet sosy drivers not the usual jolog taxi driver types
kaya tuwang tuwa si james deakin sa uber he even defended it sa senate
akala niya it will always be that way (ung driver and passenger same social class)
then enterprising folks used the system like it was taxi franchise
used several cars and hired drivers
naging taxi tuloy uber grab

Grab was formerly MyTeksi - it was created to make hailing cabs easier
Uber was "ride sharing" if you're on the way to work, might as well grab a passenger for you to save costs.
Later, the option to select a "preferred destination" sa Uber App was reduced to 1x per day
In reality, if Uber was only used by professionals who wants to earn a little extra, who do we ride when these "professionals" are in the office? This is why Uber had no choice but to deploy rental cars for full time drivers.
Now, we're all stuck with limited cars and annoying drivers.
Wunder (carpool app) should have been a nice solution, but its almost impossible to regulate
Sorry for the OT: Grab Singapore has this "Hitch" option where non-professional drivers can pick up passengers na similar destination. would have been a good option sa atin since a lot of cars has 1-2 people inside.
