I applied Mercury Drug Citibank to avail the 10% rebate at Mercury Drug. my mom's maintenance meds roughly 6k / month. paki ask naman kay wifey kung mas sulit ba yang Mercury Drug GC as you mentioned above compared sa Mercury Drug Citibank ko? If yes may I how can I avail the GC? TIA
Asked the wifey about it, sabi nya in order for you to avail of 10% rebate kelangan daw average of 10k monthly which in your case baka di umabot since 6k lang kayo sir saka wifey mentioned something na wala yata rebate kung gagamitan ng SC card, not sure kung yun nga sinabi nya. Yung card kasi na ginagamit namin yung BDO AMEX na may monthly minimum of 15k for rebate and pwede daw anywhere, ang sinasabi nya kaya daw sulit yung Mercury GC kasi yung mga card daw namin once na ginamitan ng senior wala na atang rebate, so gagawin nya bibili ng GC worth say 10k dahil kasama sa rebate yon tapos pag ginamit nya yon may bawas din sa senior tapos may suki points pa. Kami kasi ang toka sa mga gamot ng parents ko and we spend maybe at least 30k monthly on meds of my mom and dad. GC's are available over the counter on most Mercury branches

My friend was general counsel for a milk company owned by a Tsinoy. On my friend's birthday, the Tsinoy owner/chairman/CEO invited him to lunch outside as a treat. "Outside" meant Via Mare inside a mall across from their office in Makati. The boss ordered just lugaw for both of them, explaining that that was the reason why he was wealthy. My friend could not forget that experience.
I loan an amount that I can pay monthly from a bank or employer, then invest it elsewhere. Kung kumita ayos, otherwise I treat it as forced savings and the interest as a sort of payment to the lender for helping me save. I learned this strategy from my sister, so far it works for me build my treasure chest during the past several decades.
Cash at home is always a good idea. Especially in times of (national) emergency when you may not be able to access your money any other way (i.e. earthquakes, bank holidays, blackouts, martial law, terrorist attack, war, etc. etc.)
Similar. We always keep cash at home. Sometimes banks give you a hard time withdrawing your own money

I think its okay small amounts lang. Enough to buy emergency stuff.
Aside from securing your money with a mini vault, isang concern din kung saan mo itatago ung vault. Haha. Mahirapan man lang ung kukuha bitbitin nya ung buong cabinet haha.
Hide your cash in plain sight. Example:
Accessories - Hide-A-Way Can Safes - Up-N-Smoke
we dont have CC... yesterday we buy new appliances sa Automatic Center nakakuha kami discount more than 30k sa tatlong item na bnili namin.
