even if you have one you have to be right next to the NYSE bldg. It makes use of the milliseconds of lag to make trades before the quote price reaches the mainstream traders. isama mo na din rented flat nearest that building.

and of course, the perfect trade algorithm.

actually the NYSE rents out space to firms who want to place their superfast computers near the NYSE servers

it's called "co-location"

some firms co-locate their servers near the NYSE servers to get access to trading information faster (just a few milliseconds faster) than other market participants

Goldman Sachs is one of those firms that co-locate their servers
