SM is not giving good rates unlike before and I hate those silly writting serial numbers and they got $500 limit.
Sunry is giving much higher than SM.. Any recommended money changer?

Usually its the small time money changers that give the best rates. Mababa bumili si SM.

Sa Trinoma malapit sa Mindanao Parking ebtrance, nasa level 2 yata yun, forgot the name.
Czarina at Pasay Road to buy currency. For selling, I go to Czarina at Glorietta. Sanry's is okay din but Czarina is more accessible for us and their rates are good enough compared to the bank.
Ummm, depeding on the amount, some money changers actually go to your residence and do the transaction in cash.
Prior call lang ang kailangan at ang amount involved.
Exchange rate is even much better than Sanrys o Czarina

Sa bank managers dito Sa Binondo. yan mga sidelines ng bank managers Binondo central bank. Just call how much, what currencies and in 1 hour nasayo na cash. Same thing kung ikaw mag benta. No hussle, no limit ganun din pag remittance meron mga "remittance centers" Sa Binondo kung ayaw magdala ng big cash pag mad abroad you can just collect kung saan country ka pupunta, meron silang mga partners doon kunin mo na Lang in cash pag dating Sa pupuntahan mo.
I kid you not these unassuming remittance centers in Binondo probably has bigger transaction in a day compare to a medium bank branch in forex.
Saka cash-cash usapan pwede rin pa deposit mo Sa acct but most get it in cash. Tawag lang name and the amount na pinadala then go and collect.
No hustle. Kahit indian rupee tinatangap din
I normally do at Kabayan because its near us (branches in Fort and Greenhills). Reasonably rates though yung last ko di gaano maganda. It depends rin sa currency. USD and JPY have better rates compared to others like KRW in most money changers.
Personally I prefer withdrawing sa ATM dun sa destination na mismo, the rates are good rin and usually equavalent lang sa rate and hinassle mo pag nagpapalit sa money changer in Manila. I just prepare in advance: call my banks about the travel so I wouldn't get issues, then research about ATMs that accept international cards over at the country destination.
Ex., The most convenient ATMs in Japan that accept international cards are post offices and 7-11 branches. They're a lot more visible than money changers there. Other countries naman I withdrew sa ATMs pagdating sa airport. So far my BPI ATM hasn't failed me naman.
Of course always bring a good amount of that country's currency with you upon arrival, and some USD and a credit card on the side just in case things don't go as planned. :D
in Mabini madami doon but medyo delikado. try also in Burgos, Makati. meron doon money changer na ok ang bigayan.![]()
