Contract Growing business

To the agri gurus,

I'm planning to go into contract growing of day old chicks. Minimum that I will put up is 20k chicks.

We are currently eyeing a farm for sale/rent in rizal but the farm was originally built for layer business..

Tanong ko, pwede ba iconvert ang layer farm to broiler or mahirap na mashado?

Hindi naman masyadong mahirap. But the converted facility should be upto the standard of your prospective integrator. Malimit may grow out area yung layer farm yun sigurado konti lang babaguhin para maging broiler farm.

Better ask for the integrator's technicians to evaluate or pre-qualify the targeted farm. in fact baka may mai-recommend pa silang other farms that were already used for contract growing.

agree with 4wrider... depende sa kausap mong integrator... the bigs ones are usually maarte - gusto cool-cells ang gamitin.

Baka malaki rin ang gagastusin mo to convert the layer houses to broiler houses.

Plus be warry of the scheme nila... minsan suntok sa buwan....lalo na ngayun na mas mahal pa ang cost to produce sa selling price ng manok.
