last pala, why don't you invest in those insurance funds or retirement plans? (honestly ako, hindi ako naniniwala sa mga ito.) pero give it some thought, baka mag-work for you. may mga binabagayan kasi iyan e.

hehe sobrang haba ng post ko

anyway, tingin ko burnt out ka lang. mahirap talaga magtrabaho 7 days a week. some people say na ang productivity natin only goes so far, after a while, nag-p-plateau na. and no amount of further effort will give you an increase in productivity. a vacation will do you wonders. ma-re-re-orient ang priorities mo, ma-re-recharge ang "batteries" mo, and mabibigyan ka ng fresh perspective uli. baka makuha mo uli ang drive mo dati na siyang nagtulak sa iyo na mag-prisintang mag 7 days a week magtrabaho. kung uuwi ka ng pinas for your vacation, you can catch up with old friends.

Oops, sori po, baka ma-ban me...

Seryoso nalang... magbuhay mayaman ka. Put maybe 25% of your savings in blue chips here. PLDT, San Mig, ALI, mga ganun. For as long as mga current management team nila ang may hawak, kikita ka.

All you have to do is internet search about your picks mga 1 hour a day.

as negosyo try to search your interest or hobby and see if there is any chance of making it into a negosyo.

i use to remember an officemate (actually he was running the sister company of my office in singapore) back in '96, his sideline business (he was barely 25 too) was selling comics.

Comics was his hobby before so he decided why not sell comics (he knew that only a few people were into that business kasi he was also a "customer").

He started with one stall and in one of his business trips in hongkong (which our company paid for because it was official trip) he manage to get a supplier of the other chinese and japanese comics (prior to that he had already the regular DC and Marvel comics) in hongkong.

From there he grew to 3 stores (in just 1 or 2 years) grossing more than S$10,000 monthly on peak seasons according to him (during those days ang typical suweldo was S$1,500/month with P17=S$1 exchange rate). Although he was a bit on the mayabang side, I would have to believe he was really doing good.

He gets the typical comics at S$ 0.50 a piece and sells them about S$1.50-2.00 so thats nearly a 300% mark-up! Not bad for a sideline di ba.

Lately, I remember reading an article how FILBAR started... he bought the old magazines (past issues not sold) from his company (he was salesman ng magazine subscriptions) per kilo basis and then sold it per piece basis. Even at a discounted selling price he was raking more than 1000% mark-up.

    Fed,

It all depends kung how much na ang naipon mo jan sa Singapore. If you have enough money to open a business, then that's the time you come here. I'd say a minimum of P2M to P3M na savings. With that money, you can gamble on any business here. Remember, ang business ay isa ding gamble. You are not sure if it will work or not. By the way, the P3M na hard earned savings ay excluded pa ang house & lot that you'll be staying and the car. Kasi baka sa P3M pala here eh kulang na iyan pambili ng house & lot and a good running car.

If you want to setup a new business, I suggest you start with something that is related with your career or yung hilig mo gawin. Food business is something to consider since it is not a luxury anymore but a necessity. Professional Services oriented business also can be advised since it doesn't require big capital.

With this advice and other's as well, you can't go wrong with it. HTH!

Kung talagang gusto mong umuwi ng Pilipinas,- do it. Subukan mong muling magtrabaho rito...
