I had my internship at the SAP department of a big oil company and the people there were spending money like it grows on trees. The people there had no concept of budget. How I wish I could live my life that way.

Well... SAP BASIS is more on the "infrastructure" part of SAP.

IMO - if your current company doesn't have SAP or you don't have a previous exposure to it... it would be quite hard to market yourself afterwards (since you won't have enough experience or practice) as a full-pledged SAP Consultant more so is you're planning to take SAP BASIS.

Yes - you maybe able to pass the certification examination but it's a whole lot different when you're on the job already. There is a lot of stuff that won't be covered by the program and you'll only learn from that through experience.

clarify ko lang, you mean to say that SAP Basis consultant are not anymore in demand in the phils? I've talked with an HR in a big company here and this HR mentions that they do get fresh graduates from the accredited sap training here in the phils just after graduation, they also train people from their company just to augment their requirements.

Nope... that's not what I meant to say. The demand for any SAP job here (or abroad) is high.

If you don't have a previous experience before attending a SAP training, you might not be able to get yourself a more lucrative position (for example as a Sr. BASIS Consultant) to offset the cost of the training. The ROI for the said training might be a year or so...

It really depends on the company / industry and your experience / training... there's so many factors.

Just PM me your experience / training and we'll go from there.
