Age 24, I was able to purchase my own 2nd hand car ( a 93 corolla Gli)...
age 29, my first brand new purchase ( a 2000 Civic Vti)![]()
i was 21 when i got a corolla 91 GL.
that was after more than a year of working alone in a rebel-infested island doing some socio-economic surveys. i was a fresh grad then.
First car financed was a used BMW 325e and I was 22 or 23 years old.
First brand new car was a Mitsubishi Mirage Coupe and I was 26, which gave me 3 cars at the time. Now I just want to pay off my Xterra so I won't have anymore car payments.

21 as well. man, my credit rating was bad then :rofl01:
but i paid 100% of it myself
I was 21 when I financed my first car. However, I needed a co-signer because I just started working. But, every cent came from my own pocket.
I was 23 when I financed a car completely on my own.
Most of the vehicles that I bought myself are second-hand. First one was age 23, a couple of years after graduation and working for a couple of years.... (First brand new car that I bought was 7 years after, after getting married and building our first house)....

Nice numbers, so far I'm not seeing 30+. Does this mean the average tsikoteer is very masinop sa pera and thus able to buy cars at relatively early time.

Depends. Here, we need a car, period unless I lived in a big metropolis.
If I was in the Philippines like say in Metro Manila, common sense says I probably wouldn't need a car because of plentiful public transportation. I might have held off buying a car indefinitely.

24, when I bought my brand new 1996 Nissan Sentra EX Saloon. Financed by Union Bank, 4 year term, 10,379.xx monthly amortization.
During those 4 years when I was paying for the car, Skyflakes at tubig na lang ang kinakain ko...
I’m 30+ when my wife and I got our 2001 crosswind XTO in cash. Yun nga lang humiram kami kay mother ng 300K but we returned it to her in installment within 2 years -- with 0% interest. Thanks mom
sa ngayon naka ipon ipon na ulit awa ng Diyos. pero kulang pa rin pang cash for FD 2.0 or mid-sized SUVhiram na lang ulit ng pandagdag if ever

24, paid it in MC (Managers Check). Every single centavo came from my own savings.
