First year interest rate was 4.75% (1-year). All other banks nasa 5.5% or higher ang 1-year rate.

Did not expect that they will give me an 8.8% year 2 rate. After a long back and forth, naging 6.8% but locked for 3 yrs.

Meanwhile, other banks nagpromo na ng 5.5% 5 year lock. This wasn't available at the time I was getting a loan kaya I went with BPI.

or, they'll allow it, but with a "penalty" that covers for the diminished income from the account.

This would be acceptable during normal times ... but we're in the "new" normal and a lot of people are hurting from the current economic situation ... but then again, they're bankers ...

Yung "All Out Promo" na pinagsasabi nila 6.88% for 3 years eh yung sa BDO nga 5.5% for 5 years.

Magkaiba ang BPI vs BPI family savings bank. Magkaiba nga sila ng presidente eh.

So pwede na yung natanong taga BPI kaya walang ganyab daw. Pero yung loan was from BPI family bank. Possible nagbago ng policy. Pero kung nasa contract mo na pwede yan, send an email to bsp consumer affairs. Attach mo yung request mo, their official response and excerpt from your contract... Iikot mga tumbong nila dyan

Same nung nangyari sakin Sir Jut.. And same, more or less 50K daw..
Oo daw, wala daw yun problem meron naman daw CI..
Simula nung may discrepancy error sila dati..

Tinanong ko RM ko about this before, lump sum can be made at any time as long as it's worth a minimum of 12 monthly payments.

Kalokohan talaga.
