Even the ATM cards with EMV, some are experiencing problems and can't make ATM withdrawals. Small problem for some, but for those who use their ATM card as a de facto wallet, it's economic sabotage.

You may want to consider SMC2F, it yields 6+% right now and carries a P1 discount to subscription price, a bonus in case it's redeemed, however it is not guaranteed by the government. Smc2c has a better 7% yield but carries a P1 premium on issue price naman

Petron is currently offering preferreds also at 6% yield but buying SMC2F at the board is easier and has better yield and redemption value.

Preferred Stocks? Yes, we have some also from Petron, I parked those a few years ago when they first offered them, at 6.5% if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the suggestment on San Miguel Preferred Stocks though, might be worth checking out.

I don't mind parking the funds for 5 years + 1 day if the returns are constant and secure for the most part.

    Wow! However, From the link...

“For the first quarter of the year, Petron Corp.'s net income plunged to P1.3 billion, a 77-percent drop from its reported income from the same period last year. The company blamed rising crude prices and the implementation of the second phase of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law, which imposed taxes on oil, for its sluggish sales. “

Pero if they promised 7% annual interest good pa rin..

7% Gross, still better than most passive income vehicles right now.

Sana hindi ma over-subscribed, mahal na pag secondary market.

Hindi tayo Ng advise Kay Mr. Big, how this type of passive income compares to apartment/commercial space rentals. Last time I did the math was rentals yield around 8%.
