Euphoric optimism hasn't waned at all during the course of this week as Bitcoin surges past a valuation of $97k (yet another ATH) during trading hours in East Asia this morning.

Is breaking the psychological $100k barrier happening in 2024? It does seem likely now.

A few models in early 2024 and late 2023 were predicting an all-time high of $150k in 2025 but I doubt these prognostications factored in a Trump election victory.

US$100k barrier breached, btc is now officially at 3-digit valuation country.

This week starts really well for bitcoin as EU office hours commenced with a valuation of an almost unreal US$105k having broken past US$106k just hours before.

Some are anticipating a major correction to happen soon as btc has been white hot of late. The question is, when will big institutions start shorting? MicroStrategy, the world's largest corporate holder of bitcoin, is about to enter the Nasdaq 100, so will the correction happen before or after this fateful day?

Meanwhile, quite a few are seeing $110k in their sights. The question is: will short-term profit-taking snap the streak or will breaking through $110k mean the bulls will be unstoppable until $120k or even $150k?

These last few days before Christmas will need to be looked at closely.
