    carxynogen, ulysees,

Hindi ko pa talaga magets cryptocurrency. Nalilito pa ako. Slower than slow.

Naisip ko ngayon covid nafeel ng governments of the world ang control. Eventually mauulit ito or may terrorist magchemical warfare. Papasok na ako farming for my own consumption. Para hindi ako at the mercy kung sino lang pwede bumili.

Sa soil ako magiinvest. I will have a carabao for my milk, duck for my egg, and gulay & fruits. Pag meat sa iba ako bibiili. As much as possible hindi ako papatay karne na inaalagaan ko. So milk & egg lang. So my animals will die of old age / natural death.

Sana maimprove nila decentralization ng solana and other layer 1 protocols without compromising speed, scalability and transaction fees..

Why do you have to use gasoline? Please excuse my ignorance.

    it's called gas fee

like when you send money via wire transfer you need to pay a fee

mataas ang gas fee sa ethereum network coz there are so many transactions taking place there

Thanks! I think I'll let my kids read what you have posted previously about those pictures. I hope they can explain it to me. I want to give this a try.

EDIT: If they used the term "transaction fee" I wouldn't have asked.

There's a good video on explaining cryptocurrency on Netflix. Here's the accompanying piece from Vox:

What is bitcoin? Cryptocurrencies could be the way of the future. - Vox

I would advise the intrepid investor to do further research in this order:

    1) Understand the basics of distributed computing (e.g. SETI, cloud computing) and peer to peer networking (e.g. Bit*******, Kazaa).
    2) Learn how a blockchain works and how this digitally distributed ledger keeps/makes records
    3) Get to know how and why Bitcoin thrived
    4) Get to know Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and other blockchains like Ethereum and Solana, including other concepts like Proof-of-Work (PoW) vs Proof-of-Stake (PoS).
    5) Learn the basics of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT's) and its many applications, including digital art and Play-to-Earn (P2E) online gaming models.
    6) Look around and find out what sort of real-world applications of this is in your country/locale (e.g. Axie Infinity, track and trace logistics)

You will probably need a few days to get enough foundational knowledge to invest. Otherwise, do NOT get into crypto. Don't get FOMO (fear of missing out) and just dive in head first without knowing what all these newfangled things are about. You will most likely end up LOSING money.

It's basically like any other investment instrument: don't get into it without first understanding it.

Watchout for invisible friends minting on feb. 23. One of the most hyped and most anticipated nft drop in history, seems like the drop is even more hyped than mekaverse and hapebeast and they only have 5k supply for the collection. Even celebrities like fall out boy are begging for whitelist in this project. Art is nothing spectacular but you know nft traders are allured to "breath of fresh air art" and the ones that start trends on their art style then spawn so many derivatives after the drop. Like when azuki dropped market suddenly got flooded with anime style projects, same with thousands of ape projects following BAYC. Those who bought moodrollers/slimhoods in order to get whitelist here are betting invisible friends will trade around ~10 eth right off the bat as that was roughly the amount they spent for the whitelist.
