any active investor in PSE? share naman mga tips, I recently bought meralco and FPH bcuz of low p.e. ratio, sana tumaas na siya this January

Wala akong time para mag-monitor ng individual stocks,- kaya pinadaan ko na lang through mutual fund,- at least, isang portfolio ng mga stocks na mina-manage ng isang investment manager,- cross section ng stock market that will hopefully shield my investment from the roller coaster ride of individual company's performance....

low p/e ratio does not necessarily convert into increase in price for a stock for a myriad of reasons, no investor interest; low future income projection etc.; low confidence in management

it would also be good to compare the p/e ratio to similar companies in the market.

anyway, good luck with your stock, hopefully it goes up.

based on my amateur reading of the charts:

MER - bounced off P70 but I'd like to see it stabilize around P80. next significant price is P90. volume is quite slim.

FPH - same din. i'd like to see the stock hold at P70 or P77. volume is also thin.

the guy is right. low PE doesn't necessarily mean its a good stock. but with the market bullish these days until next year, we just never know.

oh by the way, CAVEAT BABY!

Ano po ba deciding factor nyo ng sell? Ako kase may target percentage lang depende sa stock, 3rd liners and mining stocks lang sakin kaya hit and run tsupit tsupit lang, with the excemption ng NI and ORE which i've been holding for almost 2.2 yrs na, yung core investment intact pa and i've added additional funds for tsupit.

The rally to 8,100 after Duterte's win is typical in any election. Likewise, the pullback to 7,700 is also expected.

As what badkuk says, the Fed rate hike matters more than the Davao bombings. Investors don't dwell on political conspiracy theories, they look at macroeconomic indicators.

At the end of the day though, it doesn't matter, at least not for long term investors. The Philippine growth story is intact - we have the economic seeds in place and there's virtually nothing that Duterte can do to muck it up.

The sideways movement of the market today is great for buyers as you can buy more stocks of good companies at reasonable prices.

Mga Guru's Okay na ba magdagdag ngaun? Start na ba magBull? Inaantay ko 7250 kaso umakyat na 7.5k.. Beginner pa lang ako dito kaya limitado pa lang alam ko.. So far talo pero naaliw pa din naman ako.. Sana balang araw maranasan ko din kumita gaya nyo..hahaha

I saw the massive jump too.. magbull? Not yet bullish but prospects are high generally and especially with the new government.
