Depende sa bank. My emv equipped cc is only used by pin. Swipe is not enabled. Most merchants here use emv pos systems.

If a lot of cardholders were commonly victimized in BGC, then part of their network is Shell BGC personnel. Sa Shell BGC kasi very noticesble na matagal ang processing ng cards, they even ask you to move in front and line up for card payers. Dun mo talaga hindi mababantayan kung na-skim ang card mo by either the gasoline boy who brought the card from your car to cashier or the cashier itself which is heavily tinted

Pero yun na ngs per observation, Shell BGC has the longest card payment processing time na napa-gas-an ko

    Be alert if you're there

Siguro best thing to do is used a prepaid card on gas station. Para exactong amount lang ang laman ng prepaid.

BPI offered me a prepaid card kasi ang ATM is not MasterCard or Visa so pag debit Hinde pwede sa lahat.

So gjnagawa ko pag small amount like 5k or less I just transfer it to my prepaid card then swipe it like a regular card pag walang EPS sa isang store. But if it's higher than 5k nah credit card na lang ako.

Sa mga gas station prepaid na lang ginamit ko naka enroll sa BPI online so mabilis lang mag transfer.

In my opinion mas safe ang credit cards, kasi until bayaran mo yan pera ng banko yan. Prepaid/Debit cards, however, pera mo yan. Walang incentive ang banks to investigate, they will just blame you kasi "pera mo yan, dapat nag ingat ka, labas kami jan".

Credit card fraud or any related crimes dapat magpa blotter ka agad or any documentation and present to your bank. If its the truth nareresolba naman. They will work with you or they lose your business ika nga.

There is nothing to get if you used prepaid, laging exact amount lang transfer mo. Then leave it with no "load" until your next use.
Pag sa gas station pakarga ka 1.5k yun lang transfer ml, yun lang nakuha.

Yup, no connection to your savings/checking but you can have it enroll para makita mo rin agad how much remaining load pag log in mo sa app ng bpi then just transfer using the 3rd party option whatever amount you want.

I have no plan of getting it talaga but since mura lang Naman yun bayad but I can't remember how much validity of two years. Ok na rin. Minsan kasi pwede rin pag offline ATM eh Di transfer mo na lang then bilhin mo kung ano man using your prepaid kung ayaw mo ginamit ng credit card.

Minimal lang Naman yun bayad sa card. It's just another option to use to purchase something.

ang downsode is wala rebate sa pre-paid card... IMHO, just protect your CVV code to avoid unauthorized purchases online...

ang hina naman dyan sa shell BGC, no need to skim that takes time, just take a picture of front and back of card (making sure to get the CVV code at the back) then buy fraudulent prepaid load sa starbucks

kaya i still vote for the CVV code to be disabled, removed, but for now just cover it with something like tamper proof tape and memorize the code if one day you will use it online...

Yun lang walang points to earn. But I'd rather have to rebates than have my card skimmed.

I was victim na before I was in the US and somebody was using my card dito sa subic to buy px goods. Standard chartered ang CC.

Them my Citibank. 3x they cancelled Ed d.my card and replace it with a new numbers kasi Lagijg Meron suspicious activities.

Nagtataka naman kasi ako bakit Hinde na lang sariling swipe like sa US pag dsting sa counter? Like grocery or stores. Para hinde na mag change hands yun card natin.

late na kase mag adopt ng EMV ang USA, sa EMV mas mahirap ma clone yong card because of the chip, the easiest way to use sa fraud ang EMV is via the CVV code for online purchases...

Hinde talaga sila mahigpit. I can even used my cousin's debit card sa grocery. Walang Tanong Tanong ako pa mismo nagsasabi sa cashier na "it's not mine". [emoji23] cuz I forget yun telephone number which is also the passcode. So pina sign na lang ako and that's ok sabi sa akin kahit Hinde akin card.

Tinanong ko pa if should I sign my name or my cousin's name since it's not mine. Sabi signature ko na lang. [emoji23]

Bank Fraud Secuirty should observe Shell BGC talaga. I heard the mastermind of these card bandits eh. Nag-offer ng P500 for every usable card. It fits the profile for gasoline boys na hindi permanent ang trabaho unlike waiters / waitresses na may magdalawang isip for a P500 income and risking their jobs.

ATM Skimming may be lessened, but security experts are now warning the emergence of a new class of scam aimed at draining ATM cash deposits via a novel and complex attack - THE ATM JACKPOTTING. The crooks are now in the Philippines.
