Agree. Once upon a time i dreamt of having a beach house in anilao.

15 yrs later the property i bought is still empty i made plans, paid the architect, etc. But just felt i would never have the time to go.

We have a vacation house that was eaten away by termites. I have fond childhood memories of that house and this is where the whole family would take relatives and friends for a quick get away. When my Lolo passed away, wala na kasi umuuwi weekly to maintain kaya napabayaan na. This is one of the properties na pinagaawayan ng pamilya namin.

I did it several times (surprise visit) and the garden looked like a jungle, pero no choice ka naman kasi mabuti ng madumi yung bahay, keysa walang tao.

Nung bata pa ako year 1980s eh madalas kami sa sa dalawa na ito = laguna and subic and minsan baguio because its not a joke to travel 7-8 hours sa panahon na yun. Hindi pa comfortable mga kotse.

Laguna = hot spring.

You stay for the coldness. And minimum 7days mafeel vacation.

Me as well. Baka bigla kang sakalin habang natutulog kung big snake.

Nature will take its course talaga.

Back topic, i would take land anytime over a condo unit kung same price lang din.

High rise buildings are much safer in earthquakes compared to low rise houses or mid rise buildings. Its the way they are engineered.

Of course, fire is a different story.

Paupahan ngayon eh depende sa location so around 4,500 - 7thou per month. So kung 500thou mo nabili eh meron ka at least 5thou a month.

Dapat binili nung year 2010. Sayang, 7thou ang rent ngayon.

    whereas before, baka puede pa,
the condo probably will not allow you to buy a parking slot, if you do not have a condo unit there.
some condos do not allow "stranger cars" to park inside their garage areas.

There are jobs na pwede workfromhome.

An advantage condos have over house and lots is a higher rental yield

A 150M AAV house will rent for approximately the same as an 80M unit in Pacific Plaza BGC

But the pandemic skewed the numbers

Land is still the better investment if you dont need recurring income. Condos became a great investment because POGOs were renting them for absurd rates. But now they’ve mostly left, its hard to judge.
