GREEN AND GO FOR THE 19TH TRANS SPORT SHOW
Building on the excitement of reaching two decades in the Auto Show events, Tradeshow International Inc. (TSI) pushes the envelope for this year’s Trans Sport Show. Slated on the 21st to the 25th of April at the Megatrade Halls 1-3 of Megamall, this year’s show is the jump-off point for the celebration of Trans Sport Shows 20th year in 2011.
TSI President Sophie delos Santos is happy to announce the full support of Caltex with Techron as the event’s Diamond Sponsor and Co-Presentor. Likewise, she announces the addition of two new awards, the Best of Show Contemporary and Best of Show Nostalgic, in anticipation of 2011’s most awaited launch of the 1st Philippine Nostalgic Motor Show and the prestigious Manila Sports Car Club Concours D’ Elegance.
“As we have been announcing since the start of 2010, we are introducing the new additions to the Trans Sport Show this year in preparation for the more intensive competition we will be having next year,” explains Delos Santos.
The Trans Sport Show will also be honoring its most regular participants through the 19 years for their loyalty and perseverance in joining the competition year after year.
“They have always been there, these competitors. Every year they enter the competition with more radical cars and wonderful accessories. It just seems right to finally recognize their efforts, the very effort that has kept the Trans Sport Show alive for two decades,” Delos Santos says.

More than 80 of the best dressed cars in the country will be on display at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall competing for the distinction of being called the best show car in the country.
Also on display will be some of the finest vintage cars restored by their owners to pristine condition. These are the cars we enjoyed from yesteryears.
"The 19th Caltex Trans Sport Show will be the most prestigious car show and competition the Philippines will see. 19TH TRANS SPORT SHOW – THE TRENDSETTING CAR EXHIBITION
No other motoring exhibition in the country has set more trends in automobile restoration and customizing than the longest running car event – the Trans Sport Show.
“Car enthusiasts wait eagerly for the show year after year because it’s only at the Trans Sport Show where they will see a lot of ‘firsts’ in vintage restoration and restyling projects as well as the latest in automotive aftermarket products,” Sophie delos Santos, President of TSI says.
The 19th Trans Sport Show dubbed as “The car show for enthusiasts by enthusiasts” is being co-presented by Caltex with Techron and is set to open at the SM Megamall on April 21 – 25 with exciting event highlights.
TSI has tied up with the Manila Sports Car Club for a Special Display of collectible Jaguars to honor the marque’s 75 years of design excellence and sporting heritage. Three models , two of which are icons will be on display namely a 1953 Jaguar XK120 (the first sports car model), a 1967 Jaguar E-Type or XKE and a 2006 Jaguar XK8. In addition, Jaguar Cars, Inc. will display the 2010 Jaguar XKR Coupe supercharged.
The Caltex Trans Sport Show Cup , the much coveted competition will have over 80 cars competing in different categories all vying for two Best of Show awards – Contemporary and Nostalgic. The oldest entry is a 1918 Chevy 490 Light Delivery Truck and the newest is a 2010 Nissan 370Z.
Individual pavilions such as the Speedlab, Team Rage/Ladder Productions, Ultra Racing, JWorks, A-Toy Bodykits/Concept One, Autoline Motorsports Zentrium, LNS Paint & Bodykits will have grand displays and activities to make your visit truly experiential.
Other activities include a Photography Competition sponsored by Caltex with Techron, the Ms. Caltex Trans Sport Show, Daily raffles and a lot lot more.

Over the years, Trans Sport Show has always been the venue for beautifully restored vintage and classics as well as top customized rides.

In this year’s Caltex Trans Sport Show Cup Competition, visitors will see an Historic 1918 Chevy 490 Light Delivery truck restored by 2009 Best of Show winner, Alfred Perez of Alfred Motorworks. This model is the first truck that Chevy ever built which was based on a passenger car. Competing in the same Historic category is a 1939 Ford 5-window Coupe restored to a Hot Rod look by Alex Garcia of Auto Dresscode. Other notable vintage/classic entries are a pristine 1953 Porsche 356A, 1960 MG A Roadster, 1979 Porsche 911, 1972 Rover 2200TC, 1967 Toyota Corolla KE10, 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, 1970s Beetles and a 1982 Starlet . Interesting new models are also competing in various classes such as a 2010 Nissan 370Z with the latest Amuse Vestito Bodykits, 2009 Audi R8, Porsche Boxster, and Honda S200s. Customized SUVs and wagons also come into play like the boxy cars – Scion Xb and Bb, Suzuki Wagon R, and Honda Element. Over 80 cars and SUvs will be competing for the the 2 Best of Show Awards namely the Best of Show Contemporary and the Best of Show Nostalgic. Aside from the class awards, there will be Special awards like the much coveted Best in Paint, Best Engine Display, Best Bodykits, and many others.
