not true for the model i got. included on the package is a special tool (the big circular plastic inside the bag) to open the sensor for battery replacement.

wow mura lang pala! no need to remove the tires? no balancing needed? akala ko aabutin ng 1k. nagtanong kasi ako before how much kung N2 ipalagay ko and quoted me P250. naisip ko kasi mas mahirap mag install ng sensor kesa N2 lang.

For those using Steelmate's internal sensors, I recommend that you do wheel balancing na din for safety purposes na din.
Tireboy installed ours with balancing for 200/ wheel.

finally i was able to install my steelmate TP-73E. i was so disappointed when i started installing it coz the display doesn't fit the spare button of my car. it is on the specs that the display is OE-fit for toyota, but it doesn't on my 2015 fortuner. maybe toyota released in taiwan and china have different size of button.

    img_0531.jpg

after 3 hours of modification, i am very happy with the result. accuracy is quite good (<+/-1 PSI) after counterchecking every sensor with my digital tire pressure gauge.

    questions on the external sensors:
    1. do you have to remove them entirely when adding air to your tire?
    2. do you just twist it in when installing? does this mean that the "pito" will be continuously pressed while it is installed? di kaya masira ang pito core in the long run?

    TIA

    1. yes. but since namomonitor ko na ang pressure realtime di pa ako nagpahangin since i installed it 3 months ago.
    2. threaded sya and just like installing a valve cap may lock nut lang sya para di madaling manakaw. yes pressed ang pito while installed and i am not sure kung masisira nga sya spring lang naman yong stressed. but who cares if masira ang pito it just cost P50

Binabantayan ko rin yan sa lazada. Hehehe

CareUD ang brand niyan. May internal / external. Mahal nung external. Almost double the price.

Ang maganda dyan eh ung screen mounted sa switch bay sa dashboard. So mukhang “OEM” by the way, sa fuse box kukuha ng power yan. So kelangan dun mag-tap.

Ok na sana ung price ng tpms na external sensors. Kaso hassle para sakin kasi weekly ako mag-check ng tire pressure.

Edit: kaka check ko lang sa lazada, 4.4k na lang ung U912 internal sensors type. Dati 6k yan. I might buy one for my City.

ang purpose ng TPMS is to monitor your tire pressure real time, so no need to check it weekly kasi everytime na sasakay ka makikita mo na ang actual pressure. in my experience at least 6 months bago ko tanggalin yong sensor para maghangin. pag bumagsak na ng 28psi at cold temp don pa lang ako maghahangin.
