peeps.. i need help with my car's alarm system... here's the story, i bought a used car already equipped with an Argus ASC-3000 alarm system.. the previous owner was only able to give me just one remote.. he lost the other one na kse...features include the basics.. keyless entry, remote start, and i think it also has ignition sensing... just this morning, when i was about to use the car, the remote wont work.. so i used the key to open the door with the alarm activated. so, out of the picture na yung pagbubukas ng door.. next problem is how i'd be able to start the car. the only way to disable the car alarm irritating noise is by removing one of the car battery's connection. so i totally disabled the car alarm by going under the dashboard and disconnecting the wires connected to the alarm box. now the alarm no longer sounds off, but then the car wouldn't start either kse meron nga yata syang ignition cutoff feature or something.... correct me if im wrong, pero hindi ba dapat disabled na rin yun since dinisconnect ko na yung connections sa main box... btw, i already changed the battery of the remote, thinking na baka weak battery lang.. still, it didn't work... is there a way para totally ma-disable na yung alarm system para mapaandar ko na at mapapalitan na yung alarm system... car was working fine yesterday.. drove about a 100kms, so i dont think the starter or anything else have failed.... looking forward to your responses... thanks tsikoteers....

One, there is a bypass that you can just press to start the engine. Normally it is a red button underneath the dashboard. Two, you may bring the unit to Banawe or Araneta Ave to have the remote copied. IMHO, it is better to change the whole alarm system rather that having a copy done. This was, you are confident that what you have is new and should work for a longer period.

To disable the alarm find the push buttons switch under the dash ( tama c fireblade kadalasan red ang color nya). turn the ignition on but dont start it then press mo ung button until magturn on ung alarm light indicator (led ba). pag nka on na and not blinking means nka valet na ang setting ng alarm mo pwede mo na gamitin ignition key sa lahat unlock n lock doors, start engine.
pag dinisconnect mo wiring harness na alarm dka tlaga aandar dahil ung starter kill relay na connected sa starter ng alarm ay magoopen means walang current will pass thru starter.
ever na dimo makuha yan you can disable the starter kill by shorting relay pin #30 and #87 ( kung bosch type relay ang ginamit) kadalasan big wire cya na color black or yellow.

mukhang central lock relay box yan kung d ako nagkamali. naglagay ng isang actuator para ma control ung orig central lock ng ESi mo. sa esi kadalasan, nilalagay ung alarm sa under ng left side aircon vent minsan nkcngit sa left kick panel. about sa relay box na yan pwede mo cya itrace mula jan 2 wire pumunta sa alarm un ung unlock and lock connection.
about sa relay kung gamamit cya ng bosch relay trace mo lang below the steerng colum makkikita mo dun ung pagbypass nya na big wire nka electrical tape lang at hindi sya mukhang orig para dun. kung wlang relay ka makita malamang built-in relay ung alarm mo kya ung wire na nakatap ang gagalawin mo,basta under steering sa wiring harness na galing sa ignition switch (key)

sir, sa tigin ko mukhang built in relay nga to..kse masyado syang malaki compared dun sa mga binebenta sa blade.. halos kasing laki na sya ng dvd case.. tomorrow morning i'll take a picture of unit with its plastic case taken off.. actually meron syang mga label dun sa PCB pero medyo cautious akong mag-tap.. baka may kung ano pang masira.. pakita ko nlang sayo sir para sure...
about the remote, hindi nman to nabasa or whatsoever before nagloko eh.. then after ko palitan yung battery, umiilaw pa rin naman..steady red light pag nagppress ng button, just like how it was nung fully functional pa..
sir, eh pano kung gusto kong tanggalin na permanently tong alarm system ko? ano ba daapt gawin? just so i could use the car normally and para rin makapunta na sa banawe for a new alarm system.. totally useless kse sya ngayon eh..
thanks for your inputs sir.... wala tlga kong idea about this eh.. hehe

You may have had just a low battery on your remote. However, your process of disconnecting the system ECU from the car might have made it now impossible for the transmitter (now with fresh batteries) to communicate with the alarm system (whicb you have attempted to disconnect from the vehicle).
If you just wanted to stop the siren from wailing, why didn't you just disconnect the siren's ground (black) wire or just stuff a rag into the siren's cone?
You could try disconnecting the negative terminal of your car battery and reconnecting the alarm ECU back to its connector under the dash and then reconnecting the negative terminal of your car battery again. Also trace all the wires that are coming out of the ECU's connector. Some of them have inline fuses which you may have blown in the process of trying to remove the system earlier.
