For me the quality of the install is more important than the brand itself.

For low cost units, we usually use Cobra.

    But my rig uses Autopage.

    OT: pssst!

pwede pala gawin mini-wang-wang yung car alarm. ako i experimented with the alarm horn last week, i connected the positive terminal to the battery, "WOK! WOK!" ehehehehe! my precious!!! so ginawa ko, nilagyan ko diode dun sa positive supply line from the alarm box to the alarm horn (para hindi mag-feedback yung power back to the alarm box) then connected a push button switch mounted on the steering column, with power tapped from a power supply cable on the ignition, then a line from this switch to the alarm horn positive terminal. ayun, instant may wang-wang na ko. medyo mahina nga lang pero nakakagulat na din ehehehe! WOK! WOK! WOK!

    Baka Cayenne ang sasakyan nya?

Anyway, kahit anong alarm useless kung walang back-up siren ang back-up battery. Having said that, kahit Viper or Code Alarm ang ilagay mo, it wont make a difference sa car thieves. A one cent alarm with back-up battery/siren is far better than the thousand pesos alarm with no back-up siren/battery.

In other words, ang sagot ko sa tanong mo eh yung pinakamura na may two way pager, I dont need an LCD display, backup siren/battery lang.

Ang magandang tanong, saan maganda ilagay ang back-up siren/battery?

    Ako, nakalagay sa, ....................

i used alien alarm. tama useless yung mga alarm pag walang back-up battery. in my case kahit walang back-up battery basta ang gawin mo reroute mo yung cable o kaya itago mo yung pagbuksan ng hood para mahihirapan yung magnanakaw na buksan yung hood mo.

isa ding theft deterrent, gawin mong parehong kulay ang negative and positive wiring.

I need to point out na hindi lang back up battery and kailangan. Back-up Siren din. May back-up battery with built-in siren available for $35.00. May dalawang keys for manual over-ride.
