How to disable Car Alarm Manually?

Hi guys!

This is a noob and maybe a little stupid question but hear me out first...

How do I turn off my alarm manually?

You must always enter your car using the keyless remote, if you use your key to enter it will alarm non-stop... but what if I forgot my key (with the remote) somewhere, and all I have is the duplicate?

If I use my duplicate key to enter my car it will alarm non-stop.. how would I turn it off manually? I know this is the sole purpose of this security and not sure if everyone knows how to turn it off manually because it would destroy it's purpose if every car-napper knows how to turn it off after they got in your car? :P

afaik, there is a manual override on each alarm system, the manual override button is located at the alarm console under your dash (or where it is located).
as much as possible, try to read your alarm manual. everything is stated there.

I remember having an alarm system before with a 'vallet' mode switch. Yan ginagawa ko parang naka disable na din ang alarm.

Tama po, may valet switch normally yung alarm na ikaw lang at yung installer nakakaalam saan makikita. Temporarily disabled yung alarm pag pinindot. Pero ask ko lang, normally may duplicate din ang keyless entry unit di ba?

eto ang problema ko ngayon nasira yun remote, yun naman button for manual disarming of alarm sa may ilalim ng steering wheel nawala or lumubog so hindi ko mapindot, have to bring my remote sa office para ma solder ng technician namin, hopefully maayos na, 2 days ko na hindi nagagamit yun kotse

Sorry guys kulang information ko... Recently got my car from a dealer meron na tlg cya ksma alarm system, wala na ako contact sa 1st owner kung san nklagay ung patayan, base on your comment kung ako mismo nagpalagay ng alarm, dpt alam ko sn pptyin at may duplicate remote pa. Isa lang remote na binigay sakin nung dealer. Ano best advice nyo sakin guys? Thanks ang more power!

Best thing to do is have it replaced with a new set... bago pa set ng remote mo and makakapili ka pa ng brand and features na available sa after market kits

Just an update, been searching my car for like 30mins. Wla tlg ako makita switch. D ko din kasi alam saan usually nkalagay or ano itsura ng hinahanap ko sooner or later kelangan ko tlg malaman un... Ano kaya best option ko? :/

nasa ilalim lang yan, mostly nasa tabi ng interior fuse box.
pero kung talagang di makita, ask the help of an auto electrician.

dun ko nga hinahanap boss e... sabi kasi nasa ilalim daw pero hindi ko makita... or bka nakita ko na pero hindi ko alam itsura :/ wala pa talga ako budget magpapalit ng bago alarm since kakakuha ko lang nito at most of my savings napunta sa kotse... hehehe

lower left corner ng picture.. correct me if im wrong.. switch yan ng sensitivity eh.. i haven't tried pa to open the doors using the key then disalarm using the sensitivity adjuster..




may red LED light yung sakin... basic alarms costs around 1,200 - 1,400.

just an update been searching my car for hours... ang hirap maghanap ng hindi mo alam hinahanap mo hehe.. wala talga ako idea sa itsura nya... pero siguro paghindi ko parin makita dalin ko na siya autoshop at papahanap ko nalang sakanila...

tnry ko din yung technique na pagbinuksan mo gamit ng susi, isara mo agad pinto at i-start yung engine. kaso ung akin hindi parin namamatay yung alarm....

need ko talaga malaman kung nasan yun XD

Usually under the dash or sa gilid ng center console or side moldings, in an area that's not easily visible - siyempre para di mahanap ng carnaper. Pag nahanap, here's how to disable:

1. Turn ignition switch to "on" position
2. Press manual override switch until alarm indicator light turns on.

To turn alarm back on, follow the same procedure but on step 2, wait for the alarm indicator light to turn off.

Good luck, lalo na sa paghanap ng pulang mani.
