FinFil General Merchandise Inc. is an international company which is partially foreign owned. Our GPS trackers has been sold widely in Europe especially in UK and Finland. We have opened the GPS tracker sales in the Philippines for around 6 months ago and already successfully retrieved stolen vehicles with the help of a local police.

We have received tons of inquiries regarding our tracker, thank you for that.
We have also received a lot of inquiries about trackers sold by other companies/individual persons. We would like to remind you that we can't answer to questions regardin other GPS tracker except our own, but would like to remind that the GPS tracker installation and system operation should be done by a persons who are qualified to do that.

    -----------------------------------------------

In addition, we would like to hear your experiences what it comes to local GPS trackers.
And would also like to remind that GPS tracker is the one that uploads the vehicles location, speed and route details to a server and is then viewable by any computer or smartphone connected to internet through the sellers website. Sometimes people are mixing the tracker to navigator which only gives you riving instructions from the point A to B.

Pano pag may signal jammer yung carnapper?

Kahit di nya ma jam yung signal ng GPS, pwede nya naman ma jam yung signal ng cellphone. Di na makakapag transmit yung cellphone ng coordinates nya.

    Tama ba?

    That is an excellent question.
Can I kindly ask you to comment in English if there is similar technical questions, as these will be answered usually by our foreign technicians.

In the Philippines the car thieves are not equipped with jammers, haven't seen yet that to happen.
The jammers usually work on a certain radius, if work at all. Actually the jammers that could disable the GPS activity in the whole car would be too big to carry around. The simple cellphone jammers that you can buy from several places, although it's illegal to hold one, won't do usually much damage for trackers. But just to make you feel more comfortable and although it sounds funny, there is also a possibility to install a jammer in the car which blocks the functionality of a GPS/cell phone jammer.

Don't know about others, but the GPS tracker that we're using are the most sensitive we can sell to a normal person or a company.
More sensitive ones would be classified already as military equipment.

WHAT IS A PURPOSE OF A TRACKER?

    a) In the Philippines the GPS tracker buyers are usually companies, although with our pricing level/payment options, anyone can afford one. Companies are using trackers to monitor their sales agents to maximize their work effort, no more own lunches or lying to the boss. Most companies save a lot by using the tracking option. This is to maximize the work effort and to minimize an income loss.

    b) Personal people are using trackers to monitor personal car movements, maybe to monitor if a wife or a husband is going to places where shouldn't. Or to monitor own children and their driving habits as it's not nice to realize later that father's car had an accident on the highway while doing 180km/h. Or to protect from car thieves. This is to protect a family and keep the car safe.

    c) Bus and other transport companies to maximize their profit on choosing right routes and pick safe drivers. It also helps in case of an accident to prove that a vehicle was not over-speeding before the accident.

    d) Car rental companies to keep track on their renter's, monitor their driving habits and to bust them if they are going to places that were forbidden. It also helps on catching modern car thieves that are selling/pawning the rental cars. This is to protect sole business of the company and to maximize profit.

    e) Government vehicles to track also employee routes and movements. Even according to law, every police car in the Philippines should have a GPS tracker, but sadly they are just improving that situation now slowly, day after day more installed. This is to protect civilians and to more quickly to alarm/react to crimes with the units nearby.

If once in a while there would be a thief that manages to jam the tracker, or disable it. There will be 100 others who got caught in an act and the total amount will go down slowly. And for that one lost vehicle, there will be an insurance company to take car of the unwanted damage. Just to remind, there is never 100% sure thing for anything, but a GPS tracker is one of the best ways to minimize risks and to protect your vehicle.

Thank you for the question and I hope if I could help.

    Q;
    1. Why Smart network only? This network has lesser 'value-for-money' when used with this service. Why not add a network that gives the best "unlimited" service.

    2. Is there a "track-on-demand" option available? Because paying a monthly service fee is ideal only for fleet use.

    Thank you for your question.

    1) We have units with Globe and with Smart network, but during our tests Smart has been the most stable and with the widest coverage. Globe has been proven to be very unstable with data connections especially if it happens to be a rainy day. For our clients Smart network gives the best value for money, since we will pay the connection fee to Smart, not the client. Client will be billed directly from us and there is no other costs.

    2) "Track-on-demand" is always on if you will use the online platform with monthly fee, otherwise you just have to sms the vehicle to get the location. It's up to the user to decide how often to query. From the online mapping platform you can see even 500 cars with one view. You may follow/track a unit on real time if you like, you may see route history details and other reports for up to 30 days and you can download those to your computer at any time for viewing.

Actually the real time tracking is not only for fleet tracking, it's also the recommend option for one car tracking. The benefits between free sms query only and real time tracking is huge. Let me demonstrate a hypothethical situation.

You want to know where your wife is going when you're at work or out of town. With sms query you will see the location coordinates only every time you sms the tracker. With mapping system, you will see the complete history details, when playing the history on the browser, you can see even all the places where the vehicle stopped for longer period of time. It's very easy to compare the routes and find matching stopping places for long period of time.

Sms query will give you the location detail only when you ask about it, but in real-time tracking system you will see the complete history at anytime easily. If you're buying a car valued hundreds of thousands or even millions, it shouldn't be the online tracking fee from where to save as you might regret it later. 20PHP per day is not hard to pay if a person values their car

Hi there, many GPS trackers are available in the market. If you are looking for the best GPS trackers for your car I would suggest you to ThinkRace OBD car trackers. ThinkRace Technology is a leading manufacturer of GPS vehicle locator. So, If till now you don’t have any tracking devices installed in your vehicles then you should. I must suggest having OBD based devices in your vehicles. It is a tracking device that is capable of tracking in the real-time with the latest Geo Fence Technology.
