Car alarm - remote got wet

Mga sir, my car remote alarm got wet kanina, nahulog ko sa inidoro(don't mind asking kung paano nangyare. hehe). oo medyo panget yung pangyayari, lightning lab car alarm siya, nung pagkakuha ko sa inidoro using a stick umilaw yung kulay blue ng steady, what i did was to dry it up through sun heat dito sa office namen, malapit sa window. After 30 mins nawala yung steady blue light ang prob ko ayaw gumana nung alarm ko, kapag bubuksan ko yung car mag aalarm siya ng malakas e hindi ko naman mapatay yung alarm dahil sira yung remote nung alarm ko.. kahit start ko yung car naka-alarm pa rin. ano po kaya pwede kong gawin? thank you!

open the remote and let it air dry for several hours and also wipe dry the battery and blow hard before closing it again....kung di magwork padala muna sa office mo yung spare remote key mo kung meron...

nangyari na din sa akin yan. naiwan ko sa pants yung remote alarm. pag fill ng tubig sa washing machine biglang nag alarm yung kotse. late ko na narealize na nasa pants ko pala at umiikot ikot na sa washing machine.

binuksan ko lang, tanggal battery, air dry. pag salpak ko ng battery tumunog ulit. buti na lang may hair dryer.

Thank you sa lahat ng nag reply.. I got it working already. Pina-init ko siya sa araw, mga 1 hour.. tapos ayun, biglang gumana.

Lagay mo sa sack of rice para ma absorb moisture, it worked for my laptop when I accidentally spilled a glass of water on it.

para tumagal pa at maiwasang mag corrode, remove the battery then clean the printed circuit board with lacquer thinner or lighter fluid using a tooth brush and blow dry.. pag di mo kasi nalinis maigi yan, after a week or two masisira din pag hindi properly cleaned due to corrosion.............. applicable din ito sa mga cellphones or any electronic devices na H2O damage

nag corrode na siya may color green na lumabas sa mga circuit, pinatuyo ko na siya pag test ko ayaw na gumana
ang tagal kasi sa washing machine sabi nung nag laba, code alarm yung remote meron kaya replacement nito

Mga sir i already posted it sa vios thread since my car is vios and it just happened napaguusapan ang remote ng car alarm dito kaya i wanted to share this, and ingat ingat lang sir.

Story:

1. sometime last June 2013, one of my office mate parked his car in a reputable shopping/grocery center. So of course he locked his cars using the remote switch went to shopping and then when the whole family came back, they noticed that two of their ipads was missing. luckily the idiots who stole the gadgets took picture of them while connected to the internet and they were caught. 1 out of 2 ipads was returned. According to police and security inspection, there is no sign of any force entry to his vehicle. luckily no family member was hurt.

2. Monday August 5, 2013 i went to SM Molino. so i parked my car and tried locked it using the remote key. i got confused because i dont hear the usual "THUD - thud" sound when the doors are locking. i tried the remote for 10 times, start the engine switch it off then use again my remot unfortunately no response from the remote. so i locked my car manually.

3. After my errands at SM Molino, my car is still on manual mode kaya napapakamot ako sa ulo kasi warranty claims ito at abala. pagdating ko sa parking ng office ko until today, wala naman problema door locks ko or the remote control

kaya it made me think na isa itong bagong "modus operandi" that uses certain wave length or frequency modulator that block communication of this type of electronic device wherein if you are not like me, na sanay sa manual lock, you would not notice or even bother checking all the doors before leaving the car especially using the remote control.

May nakaexperience na ba sa inyo ng ganito? or sobrang paranoid lang ako, kasi it made me connect what happened to my office since kung nagrely lang ako sa remote siguradong simot ang barya na laman ng kotse ko, (hehehehe).
