Weirdest thing happened to my car alarm kaninang madaling araw habang malakas ang ulan.

I've read stuff on the web that claims criminals will loiter around parking lots with a scanner. They'll wait for somebody to blip their car and the scanner will record the frequency of the signal and then they will duplicate the signal to unlock and un-immobilize your car.

Very possible, they use the same technique as getting a replacement remote. At first tambay mode within range of the target vehicle. Equipped with a scanner they try to sniff out your remote code - they do need about 3-5 transmissions (sometimes less) in order to crack it.
Vulnerable remotes are the ones that are not code hopping so I suggest you get one that has this functionality.
This was one of the reasons why I upgraded my OEM car alarm with keyless entry to a newer one, and since gasgas na masyado ang remote ko. Meron dyan very affordable pa nasa isang thread by Doc Otep.

not impossible, so aside from your alarms with immobilizers, it helps to use the old fashioned steering wheel lock, and wheel clamps (if you have one)
maganda rin siguro kung may kill engine switch na you have to turn on for the ignition to work..

to TS,
i doubt a tricycle driver will have one of those code breaker gadgets. at kung totoo man, bakit yung nasa loob ng garahe ang titirahin nya, madaming iba na mas maliit ang chances nya na mahuli.
sinabi moh! i hardly see my children now. when they were young, schedules were more predictable.
