Nakita nyo na ba to? It's a switch blade alarm that you can use to existing keys. The key just needs to be fitted to the switchblade alarm. Kailangan i-retrofit sa alarm. Anyone have this yet? Balak ko magpakabit sa Civic dahil nagloloko na yung after market alarm ko.

    ~P3,500 ata with installation.

    bros,
info lang, nagpakabit kami ng matrix 9000 series (mannix dati)(daw)na alarm kahapon sa goldcars banawe. nag bog down na kasi yung cobra. oks na oks, may auto start and lots of features, may 2 siyang controls , yung 1 parang tamagochi and yung isa sinliit ng maglite w/aaa cell. may auto start feature. yung trunk release ipalagay ko sana sa hood wala naman trunk (pickup kasi).
so far oks naman ang performance , may free foot pedals pa . . . (tawad siguro)

Malaki ba ang difference ng mga 3rd party alarms sa mga factory installed alarms? Toyota for instance.

Price is the major difference. With the cost from dealers, you can get more feature from 3rd patry alarms. Dealers justify the cost by saying that their alarms won't void your car's warranty. Ano yun! Insurance!

You see one, you've seen them all.

Expandable din ang mga high-end third party systems. Yung mga low-end naman, cheaper than factory pero madami ding features.

    Basta ok ang installer.

Thanks for the reply. Here's my situation. I just got a corolla with factory alarm installed. Should I just keep this or should I (and can I for that matter) have this replaced with a 3rd party alarm?

Meron tayong local GPS-based anti-theft system. Pero mahal...

Kung ok pa naman ang factory alarm mo, you can keep it for the meantime. Just 'layer' your security devices, a wheel lock and ACID etching for the windshield, backglass, and side mirrors is a good start.

Thanks sir. I think I'll be dropping by bigberts pretty soon. I'm not as concerned about my car being stolen, as I am about my sidemirrors. Talagang medyo rampant dito sa'min yan e. But of course, a wheel lock can't hurt.

I think these are very sound investments. Thanks ulit.

You have to call BigBert's a day or two in advance if you want to have your mirrors etched. Gagawin pa kasi nila yung stencil. Check their website for the contact numbers.

Mannix is ok if you are agreeable with the price and you don't mind the largish controller.

Clifford also offers similar features and is also quite expensive. Si kcboy ang may Clifford system.

I think afrasay has a Mannix system on his Patrol.
