*Siren or its wires should not be reachable from under the vehicle with the hood closed.
*Alarm ECU under the dash should be easily reachable.
*Effort must be made to make the add-on wires of the alarm look OEM. Otherwise, it would be easy to trace/bypass them. You can disguise them with tape or wire dressing or anything just make it look integral.
*ECU's with integral shock sensors should be mounted on something solid if possible. Avoid letting it 'float' in the maze of wires under the dash as it decreases sensor sensitivity.
*If your system has a separate shock sensor, mount it on a very solid piece of the vehicle body.
*Adjust shock sensor sensitivity properly. This can take experimentation.
*Install the iginition kill system. A lot of installers do not install this and keep the wiring for the ignition kill for themselves. Make sure they install this. You can test this by trying to start the car with the system armed. The alarm should sound and the starter will not engage (click, click lang).
