Trace mo na lang lahat ng wires coming out of the ECU. One of them is bound to lead to the valet switch. The other wires lead to the LED and shock sensor.

Jeff Tan is in front of Don Bosco along Araneta. Very near Arlington and Big Bert's. Araneta Car Accessories ata ang name.

Almost any alarm with an ignition kill. Just route the kill to the fuel pump instead of the starter motor.

Hindi ko na alam kung ano ang setting. Pinipihit lang naman yung screw sa sensor niya. Tinimpla lang namin para hindi mag-alarm when the big trucks pass by but will still trigger when you strike the vehicle hard.

I went to Autoline P3000 Cobra+door locks, bibilin ko na sana kaso walang warranty Cobra. Choice ko kasi dapat bilin ko sa kanila is Venom, out of stock na. Dami na kasi ako nabasa about Cobra complaints on the latest models coming from China, low quality.
Tanong ko lang, which is better Venom or Police. P3000+ lang budget ko, last money ko na eto.
Sir Otep advice naman dyan.. lagay ko lang sa humble Corolla XL ko.

IMHO, sa Police ako. Around Php 3,700.00 kasama door lock actuators and instillation. 1 year warranty pa. Mas madami kasing features and the arm/disarm chirp sounds like that of a more expensive sytem. The alarm tone is also different from the usual 6-tone wail you hear at the mall. Parang Autopage/Code ang tunog niya when triggered.

Additionally, with the Police alarm, it locks the doors after 15 seconds or so after ignition, and only when you step on the brake. So let's say you were driving around and had to stop and open your door for whatever reason. When you close your door, wait for 15 seconds then step on the brake and the door lock would automatically engage again. Unfortunately, what it doesn't do is, it doesn't automatically lock and arm if you forget to arm it after turning off your engine and closing the doors. And the siren is weaker than autopage's.

Actually, I don't like passive arming so that's ok with me. I didn't bother to check if there was any way of activating passive arming. On Cobras you activate it by cutting a wire on the ECU.

Guys, maganda ding i-consider and GSM car alarm likeTxtAlert. Pricey nga lang but the benefits it willl give to the owner in times of carjacking, carnapping ay very effective. Just look for our ads sa carfinder section under security devices. U will see there all the functions it will give to u. Esp if u have a very hot car to the eyes of the carjackers, this is the best gadget for u.

Guys, do you know of any after market accessory/add on to my existing car alarm that can trigger auto-engine start functionality? Fortuner po ang sasakyan namin and it has its own alarm system already but doesn't have auto-start. Habit ko na kasi ang mag-painit ng makina before driving it...kaya lang hassle sa umaga, kasi intay pa ko. At least with auto-start, habang nag-bibihis ako, start ko na agad. Any advise is most appreciated! Thanks!

Sa Txtalert pwede namin iimplement ung auto-start remotely. U just have to txt ur Fortuner then magstart na sya. Also, halos karamihan na nagpakabit nito ay mga Fortuner user.

All remote start systems allow you to start without the key in the ignition. That is why they are called remote starters. You can start the engine remotely from, say your kitchen, while you're having breakfast so that the cabin will be cool once you board.

There are built in safeguards though. In other markets, they only allow for the instillation of such devices on fuel injected and automatic transmission equipped vehicles. Some have handbrake sensors that won't allow starting without the parking brake engaged.

And you cannot just drive off the vehicle without inserting the key.
