Code alarm yata yung nakita ko sa Blade Greenhills na P500 if with trade-in with your current unit. Code alarm ba o Code Red? Im not sure, pero I recommend you check it out na rin. Sayang kung magustuhan mo yung mga iyon.

what is acid etching? Also, how much is the autopage alarm? My only requirements would be:
    1. Panic mode/silent mode
    2. Ignition Kill
    3. Speed-sensing auto lock - locks the car when already moving, instead of locking it during ignition
    4. Adjustable shock/force sensor
    5. Auto-lock (adjustable timer) after turning off the engine

What would be the best alarm for my needs? I'll be having it installed on my Altis J. I'm afraid to have it done in Banawe. How about this Jeff Tan guy? Would Venom, Police or Cobra be ok? Thanks for the help!!!

Jeff Tan owns Araneta Car Accessories along Araneta Ave. If you know how to get to Arlington Funeral Homes/Big Bert's Auto Detailers, abot-tanaw na ang shop ni Jeff.

Autopage costs roughly Php 3,700 in Banawe. Sometimes cheaper pa sa Araneta or just about the same. That includes instillation already.

If you are having a system installed at Jeff's, you have to specify if they will install the ignition kill. It is a no charge option on most of their systems.

Auto Lock or Passive Arming is dependent on the alarm model. On most units (e.g. Cobra) it involves cutting a wire on the alarm ECU.

Speed-sensing door locks are rarely available on aftermarket systems. Most lock doors by ignition-sensing (when you switch to the ON position) and brake-sensing (when you step on the brake pedals and the system detects the doors are not locked).

Even the cheapest systems are sensitivity adjustable.

ACID ETCHING involves etching your vehicle license plate on the side mirrors (to deter theft). It can also be etched on the windshield and back glass to deter theft (the license plates would be harder to tamper).

Sir Otep, what model of autopage does Jeff Tan have? I'm looking at the RS 725 LCD. Is that the one that's P3,700? Wouldn't it be better to buy it and have it installed at the dealer of autopage?

I got the Autopage at Jaffas Banawe. I don't really recall the model number. I just asked for the Php3K ++ model. hehehe.

Where is the dealer of Autopage? I have systems installed at Jaffas' and Jeff's because I have had prior experience with them and they are pretty easy to talk to in case of warranty claims and such.

Cobra? When ours failed, we just got a new system. Halos ganun din ang cost, eh. A new transmitter costs Php1,400.00 a few years ago. Now you can buy a new system for arond Php1,900.00. And you get more features to boot.

somehow, i get the feeling that car alarms are no longer effective... no one pays any particular attention to a wailing car alarm anymore.

The siren is only part of the equation. There's also the ignition kill/immobilizer function.

Add to that the convenience of keyless entry, automatic door locking, carfinder function, etc.

There's also domelamp supervision on Pajero Field Masters enabling you to see the vehicle interior prior to boarding.

Madami pang features. Depende sa alarm model.
