    Peeps,

Ano ang best magkaroon. Yun back up sensor or ang backup camera. Hesitant lang ako sa backup camera kasi baka di gaano ka wide ang kuha nya eh. Thanks.

    what car do you have?

also to add ultra sonic backup sensors (eyes) or magnetic backup sensors (no holes)?

We are about to get a City and have an option to put either a backup camera or sensor. Kung sensor ang pipiliin ko, I was thinking about the no drill version front and back. Although the camera ng is nifty as you can see where you are backing up, I don't think kasi that you could utilize the space to the max when reversing since kulang ang depth perception sa camera and it doesnt really cover the whole rear. If there was a post short of view from your side mirrors but left of the camera, when going in reverse, you could see the post only up to a certain time and then need to stop na. You'd. probably have a little over a foot left in distance. Sometimes that distance could mean a lot when getting out of tight spots.

    Or maybe combining both?

between the 2, para sa akin ay sensor. dapat naman talaga na tumitingin sa likod pag umaatras. gamitin ang mga salamin o harap sa likod. pang blind spot ang sensor for me.

+1000. Kung puwede both eh di okay pero kung isa lang back-up sensor also for me. Mas reliable pa sa gabi IMO.

may guide naman yung camera. meron lines sa sides to indicate yung width ng car, tapos meron distance lines na green, yellow and red. on both my van and suv pag nasa red na yung distance line the actual distance is about 2 feet. at kita ko ang bumper so kayang idikit kung needed.

sa van ko combined, may camera and ultrasonic sensor. more often e naka-off ang camera kasi sa GPS unit naka-pair ang camera and most of the time off naman ang GPS. parehas lang naman with just one or with both. next month pag nagpalit ako ng HU papalitan ko na din yung back up cam na paired sa HU.

its better to have both. sensor's beep would go off kahit gutter lang nakikita.

    Priority for me ung camera

    Secondary ung sensor

nya eh yung sa REAR VIEW Mirror....kasi weird (and mas delikado) if u solely rely on
    displayed image thru H.U....

and you get both physical rear view reflection and thru the camera...though di ko nga lang
sure merong ganun for Honda City....

just dont rely too much with technology, be aware of the limitation of whatever backing sensor you get to choose. ultrasonic transducers require a flat plane facing it like a wall in order to be effective (detecting a pole is its common failure or a gutter below the bumper) while a cameras field of view may be limited as well as lack of proper lighting with a busted reversing lamp will hamper its effectiveness

if you are fond of parking in a reverse manner, scan the parking slot with your own eyes & be wary of potential obstructions. as you make your approach use the mirrors (rear view/side mirror) as guide. when you get close use the technology attached to your vehicle. to make sure, LOOK BACK anyway because direct view gives you a more accurate view of the position of your rear bumper or mudguard relative to any obstructions from behind

Is there a difference if it's a bumper camera or the ones that point downward like those installed on top of the license plate? I think you could see the distance of an object from the bumper better using a downward directed camera. I'm about to get one tomorrow, the installer suggested the bumper type camera

Not really. But if you ask the casa people, they will say yes.

Had both. Though standard na sa unit yung back sensor. So I only installed the camera. If budget permits, go for it! Very useful lalo na sa parking na masisikip/kabilaan. May parking na bawal mag-backing.

both din sakin. actually hindi ko inaasahan ang camera. mas inaasahan ko ang sensor. pero mamaya may maglakad na bata sa likod, hindi mo makikita. so yun ang maganda dun. pero kung sa van tapos may salamin sa likod. no need for camera
