in my opinion, the more effective system is the one that deters them from even deciding to victimize you in the first place.. something visible..
1. a steering wheel bar.
2. dark tint.
3. keep anything that may attract interest, in the rear trunk, away from view.
4. an easily visible, dumb blinking light.
5. a remove-able front plate from your HU (although, i think the manufacturers have evolved from this already).

a keyless, i feel, is more for my and my passengers' convenience..
